Well the nice thing about the email is everyone (im assuming) downloads the email to their own PC.
If you're thinking of putting content publicly visible on a password protected management system (bulletin board, blog, etc), you have to consider how much content (namely photos, documents) you would need to keep on there. You know how much content there is and how many people access this content?
