yeah, the carpooling idea is funny. what if you go with someone, they drop you off, then they just don't pick you up? you're stuck in NYC, probably have to sleep on the street or in your office, thats not fun.
I work in NYC, and if there's a transit strike, I'm just not going in. the cool thing about my job is I can work at home if there is a compelling reason, like I woke up late, or its kinda chilly outside, or I really have to go to the mall for something.
Yet I'm the one who's about to get fired for taking my second sick day in a year.
are they really strict about that?? I would def be fired already if mine was. I take like one, every other week.

I get like 17 days a year, but that's with sick days included
i get 3 weeks/unlimited/2 days
I get 6 weeks vacation, a week or 2 of personal and a week of sick days. That's why it's retarded. I've only taken 2 days out of a week's worth! Ans my time doesn't roll over either. I should take the rest of the year off!

2 weeks / unlimited / 1 week. but the unlimited thing is funny. you dont want to abuse it. but there's really no checking. you can always work at home too. i've had instances where if i didn't come in i can say... contact me here and life is good.
i dont get any time off-i just dont come in when i dont feel like it and then make up the time
