My dad said schmeg (shhhmeg hard sh sound) for the longest time I could remember, no one ever heard of it and my relatives even started using it. So wierd. Maybe someone could help me define it.
We used it when describing some a goopey substance like oil, grease, paint, glue, anything that would be not really wanted on your hands to fix, fasten, hide, fill, lubricate. Would use it as a verb too "like alright now we gotta schmeg this up, get it all schmegged," but usually in small quantities, like having left over ice cream on your face would be addressed as "haha oh man you got some schmeg on your face."
