with ie if i want to post a <15 char comment, i pressed ctrl+enter but that doesnt seem to work for firefox. what to do...what to do?

yeah... you cant use that, you just do to bypass that.
you can even just do <aaaaaaaa> or whatever. doesn't have to be a real tag.
