Hypocrisy alert! Dan got a free KVM and I offered to take it off his hands, and he turned me down!

dude. trade me. if you have a small hard drive (10-30 gig) that you don't need, i'll give you the KVM, it's just taking up space in my closet

I would, but there might come a day when I want to make a ridiculously large version of an ipod out of spare parts. hahaha. this idea sounds so funny I might just do it.

superhero superheroOG 2004

that is a funny idea. i doubt you would actually do it though. how would you get a power supply?

deanh77 deanh77Founder

hmm. can't remember the power requirements of a 3.5" HD, but I could probably string 2 or 3 old Laptop batteries together for enough wattage. then I'd have to think about the motherboard. probably one from an old laptop with a busted screen would work. and attach a small text lcd to the serial port and some buttons to the keyboard port. that'd do it.

but I've got other projects going on I need to finish first....which I could really use a KVM for. I hate crawling under my desk to swap cords.

i want to get rid of this KVM so badly i can almost beg you to take it. but, i need a hard drive to backup my mp3s onto. so this is where we trade.

well now you've challenged me to use it in a ridulous project, so I'm kinda stuck with it now. go on eBay you could probably get a used 20 gig HD for like $20. Here's an auction:

(I honestly don't think I have a spare)
