SAD DAY: i heard that Hunter S. Thompson has killed himself! He wrote Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72, Great Shark Hunt and Hell's Angels. Amazingly skewed and unique books. So good! He had broken his leg and hip and was experiencing a lot of pain and it's said he committed suicide because of it. I guess an investigation will ensue, but what's been said sounds about right to me. BRAVO on occasion shows Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas very well editted, so if you's get a chance to see it--DO SO. It's got Johnny Depp in, what I think, is his most strange performance. Weep!
