The story looks rock solid. I cannot see how this won't be the best SW film ever.
1- It can't be the best SW film ever because the original three are untouchable. I mean..In a New Hope when they're flying up to the Death Star all frightened and it's like the size of a marble han...
Come on, the prequels don't suck. Just because they aren't as good as the originals doesn't mean they're garbage. I enjoyed them thoroughly.
i think that jar-jar and hayden's acting ruined most of those two movies for me. :(
i definitely agree, but i also think that the old star wars movies were just better in general: better actors, better storyline, etc
i agree on the actors. additionally, theres no smug han solo type character. suddenly the universe is populated by jedis and politicions. sucks.
You have to look at all 6 movies as one big movie. It starts out all happy and cheery (boring), then war erupts at the end of Ep. 2. Now from 3-6 we see a war torn galaxy. Yeah, people are going to like that as opposed to a Gungan walking around talking like a Jamaican. But I must say, that after seeing Ep 2, I liked Ep 1 better. I expect Ep 3 to make the whole prequel trilogy better. There are already some classic lines from the new trailer.
Also, there are quite a few lightsabre duels in Revenge of the Sith. In the trailer you see the following:
Anakin vs Dooku
Mace Windu and 3 other Jedi vs Palpatine/Darth Sidious
Obiwan vs General Grevous (If you saw the clone wars cartoons, he is the droid general who wields up to 4 lightsabres at once)
Yoda vs Palpatine/Darth Sidious
Obiwan vs Anakin/Darth Vader
The light saber battles just don't do it for me. Yeah, the new one are all "lets flip around" and cool..but it's almost too much. Like, would anyone really bounce off the walls while fighting?
I totally agree. I wish Jedis didn't always let the lightsabres do the talking. I really want a nice tearful and emotional arguement between Anakin and Obi-wan. And not in the midst of a duel! Maybe we'll get it. Along with 143627 lightsabre duels.
There will be lots of talk. You shall not be disappointed.
