Bye the way they are not "stoner rock" they are just plain rock your streching your limtied knowlegde of stonerock a mile Alana.

The new album brings a different direction. If your a queens beginer and songs for the deaf is your first album of theres you couldnt appreciate this album unless you have listen to rated R first.

Songs for the deaf took 3 months to record all the other albums took 3 weeks including this one. I will say its much better live. I appreciate bands personally that take a different direction every album.

But Rated R was a more melodic soft album With the ocassional heavy riff and or song mixed in. So if You can get down with that you'll like the new album. If your more of a heavy music loyalist, than there first album called queens of the stone age would be more to your liking.

But if you had to listen to them in order songs for the deaf should be last because it mixes both styles.

This albumn he wanted to take it back to basics and not question every widget of music, Josh homme basically said he wanted to play and not spend a quater of the year in the studio.

I can feel that Because theres sometimes I just wanna set our pratcie /studio on fire. When you spend too much time in the studio You go stir carzy and stop caring what anyone thinks or woiuld think.

Because when it comes down to it through everything its about playing live. Cause if your not playing live you may as well be writing
Friskies commericals and radio jingles.

This is the order I suggest since I nominate myself the offical Qotsa Chamber of commerece. This is jamiephaser not saying goodbye just saying.

1 .Lulabies to Paralyze
2 .Rated R
3.Self Titeld (queens of the stone age)
4. Songs for the Deaf

And if your feeling froggy get the kyuss, Queens split
