Saw two bands last night. HUGE bud-slurping, boot-skootin', diddy bopppin', head bangin' fun. the Eagles of Death Metal and Atomic B*itchwax. Eagles were way awesome. And they had some Queens of the Stone Age/Mondo Generator veterans playing the instruments. So awesome. They have an easy kinda bar rock sound, with a tongue firmly in cheek style. Atomic B'wax was the technically amazing part of the show. Never seen a bassist move so quickly. I'm not even joking. They had a kinda hard rock, thick guitar, bluesy feel. So great. And it was a bit like hair metal--every song had an amazing soaring solo. SWEET.
