I've got a pen/marker that writes in conductive ink (typically used for fixing etched traces that etch too much) you can probably pick one up at Radio shack if you want to repair those missing lea...

Oh yeah i totally forgot they had pens like that, ah man good idea

Well the leads werent shorted, as long as the leads werent shorted, and hopefully nothing is arching across it would either work like it does, or not work at all/or register bad
