how did that crappy little ship find them like 8 hours after they started out? If they're real then the island can't be very far from civilization.

I had some crazy "Lost" dreams last night. the hatch/shaft went down to a huge network of underground tunnels.
they found them because they were only 15 miles or so out from the island, and the ship came from the island. i guess with a powered boat they could cover a lot more area in a search pattern.
