"LOST"
the new tv show "LOST" is absolutely essential tv watching. i watch NO tv, but THIS is a QUALITY show. i admonish all to watch it. the two hour pilot was clipped into two pieces over the last two wednesdays. luckily, they're replaying the whole pilot, combined, this saturday.
this show's got awesome action, the effects are movie-like, the acting is KEY and all the performances are spot on, the characters are COMPLETELY unpredictable. one of the coolest aspects is that theres like 50 survivors in the group so they'll be a revolving door of interesting characters and personalities. J.J. Abrams, the mastermind behind Alias, is in creative control of the series and thats definitely a good thing.
the thing that hooked me is that this isn't a normal "plane crash survivors stranded on a tropical island" dealy. you don't know why the plane went down, you don't know where they are, you don't know who's going to be dangerous and who's going to be helpful. there are some REALLY mysterious scifi undertones that will make for some HUGE revelations later in the season and series.
color me extremely excited. i'm having a viewing at my joint on saturday. YESSS!

Page 1 of 5one day i'm going to write all the things i dispise about this show, all the plotlines that the writers think i have forgotten, and how it's turned so, SO lame.
true that!
I merely have some things I would like to see. For instance, when do the Losties get to have some fun? Recall the golf clubs. They have not had fun since Hurley started the Volkswagen mini-bus. Why not let them relax, have some frosty mai-tais, perhaps a poker game or two, and some relaxation? Why must the continuously traipse through the jungle to random stations, always running into other people on what should be a large island?
I am curious as to the whereabouts of the following people:
Vincent
I am curious to find out:
Where Desmond buys bulletproof milk
Why Christian is always looking clean and shiny
Why Kate is still always dirty
I am curious as to the past 3 years for
Faraday
Claire
Walt
Dave and his bathrobe
When the writers stop forgetting about characters and plot lines - and the writers stop hoping that I will forget them also, then I truly will be a fan.
I could answer all of these, but I won't. The season finale that just passed makes me say "forget it all!"
you can't answer them all. no one can.
I'm telling you I could, man! lol
that's such a lie. you can now answer the vincent question, and the rose/bernard thing (after last week's season finale) but that's it. and i have like 50 more questions, that will never EVER be answered.
Think about Season 1 ... why did they want the children in the first place. Was Jacob asking for them on one of Ben's lists? Why did they wear fake beards and old clothes? What was the point of that?
lol
you hear that splashing sound? that's the sound of Lost jumping the shark. it jumped 5 great whites, two makos, and a hammerhead.
i think that Walt is my favorite character, and I don't like how much he's ignored. He obviously had a good connection to the island, and watching him and Locke interact has always been something I've enjoyed.
I don't like how the other characters pretend like he's not even a real person.
i've noticed this and it bothers me. i thought he was going be a big deal. now he saw locke for 2 minutes and said "i have to go." retarded. makes all that screaming "WAAALLLTTTT!!!!" and special kid stuff mean nothing. GRRRRR!
the last two episodes of Lost were excellent.
Last night was amazing!! Jin lives!!! Made my week!
thank you for blocking that out whoever did that.... I have yet to learn how
o [ spoiler here ] o
take out the spaces betweem the bracket and the o, though.
finally we know how charles widmore knew about the island! my little family theory is that the blondie other is a young ms. hawking and that she and charles are farraday's parents making penny his half sister.
interesting. i like how they set up all the babies. i think we'll have sun's baby, desmond's baby, and aaron teaming up in the future!
yeah and miles is dr. cheng's baby!
whatttttttt. that's pretty wild. wait and seee!
and what about if the hatch was part of the hydrogen bomb, and the computer sent teh whole island back in time 108 minutes to prevent the bomb from exploding! and when they didn't push the button, the hydrogen bomb exploded, and would have killed them all if desmond didn't push the fail/safe?
yeahhh, i did think of that, the bomb being part of the swan station. then why the implosion? what did the switch that desmond turned do?
I finally caught up after four looooooong years! Ready for Wednesday night!
i like frozen donkey wheels
no thoughts??? Where my lost fans at??
after the season finale i had this allergy-medicine-fueled dream that I was Ben's girlfriend and we had to jump out of a helicopter and landed in another mysterious land where Ben, for the first time, did not have a plan
Oh how i love him and his evil smirk
it was crazy, as always. i really don't know what's going to happen. i'm just taking it as it goes. my mind has shut down when it comes to theories.
i thought the ending was a little much, i don't think they shouldve taken it quite so sci-fi
Oh, you mean the frozen donkey wheel making the island disappear? you're probably right, lol.
i don't think it's any more sci-fi than it has been. i mean, they've been talking about time travel for a long time now in the show. all the wheel did is adjust the island's time phase. that's ALL matt!
lol. i don't know, it just kind of turned it from something semi-believable into star trek. but i still liked it, it's an entertaining show.
i wonder what's going to happen to the people in the other boat...
i'm assuming the people in the boat were transported with the island.
maybe next season they'll turn up somewhere too
1960 (new timeline on the island, with Locke and Richard): Locke has now travelled back in time many years. He has become the leaders of the others on the island. Note that because the swan is now destroyed, the island and all time exists relative to Locke, in the year 1960. Now Locke has teh ability to re-shape almost 50 years of the past. And what happens? Nothing! As fate would have it, Locke can't alter the past. Once Locke gets back to the year 2003, DHARMA starts infiltrating the island again. Locke loses control, and flees the island. The island is ultimately destroyed in the year 2003 by DHARMA, and that is why it disappears from view when the "6" leave via helicopter - because in the new timeline that Locke created, the island no longer exists in the year 2004!
yeah, that's an idea why the island vanished...
i can't wait to go over all these scenarios when the series wraps.
what kind of stinks is that it seems like after next season all we will still know is up to the end of the last episode of this season where it's locke in the coffin... still so much conflict!
that would be the case IF they stick to the same formula they used last season by melding the 3rd and 4rd season finales. but that might not happen. for all we know they'll hit that "dead locke" point mid-season. and i hope they do because, you're right, there's still a lot of story to be told.
lets seeeee... i think this next Jack episode is gonna be emo and beardy. like most jack episodes. time for some filler, people! FILLER! oh well, at least we know the season will go out strong with a Lock episode and 3 episodes with no flashback/foward.
yeah, i'm not loving the jack episodes. last night's was pretty good though.
so i think that jin will not actualy die. i think he just doesn't get off the island.
ahhh so you agree a lot of this show is filler ... GOOD
however, i am now interested in the show again, ever since i read the timeloop theory and understand the timeline sooo much better.
also - convienient how juliette was there when jack got sick, and was an expert at doing apendectomies (sorry for the mis-spelling). Just like Ben, when he got cancer, Jack showed up. Why? Because both of them have to be alive in 2007. (well, if Ben's in the coffin, he won't be alive throughout 2007, but still).
bah last nights was crap
you're completely out of your mind.
you're right. when i wrote that, i was not feeling well.
I think it was a "decent" episode. Better than a lot of other ones, but not as good as ANYTHING from Season 1 or Season 2.
my favorite part of the whole episode was when Ben went into the trap-door within a trap-door and came out dirty, and able to summon the smoke. also, he didn't seem the least bit scared of the smoke at all. that was pretty cool.
other than that ... so much useless talking. We need Hurley to find Jacob? Why can't Ben find Jacob? How did Ben get in the Sahara? Was that a flash-forward within a flash-forward? Why so confusing?
i got confused about the dates... when he was in the sahara with Said, they said it was 2005, but it was AFTER they got off the island. whereas when jack was off the island it was present time... right?
this helps a little...
this timeline theory is pretty sweet
http://timelooptheory.com//the_timeline.htm
WOW that really makes a lot of sense!!!!
that was really interesting... reminds me of that movie.... i can't remember the name of it
Primer!
that's the one! they basically built the same type of time machine
this is blowing my mind because it explains EVERYTHING hah
if that's not very close to what the end of the show is... i'll be shocked. this makes a lot of sense. wow.
yeah, i mean it is somebody's theory but it definitely explains quite a bit
the Q&A page on that site is also very convincing
i just read this and now i feel so upset. i hate ruining the end of things and i didn't think this would make so much sense.
Six new hours of “Lost” unfurl over five Thursdays:
4.9 (tonight) The Shape of Things To Come (Linus-centric).

4.11 (May 8) Cabin Fever (Locke-centric).
4.12 (May 15) There’s No Place Like Home I (non-centric).
4.13 (May 29) There’s No Place Like Home II (non-centric).
4.14 (May 29) There’s No Place Like Home III (non-centric).
looking forward to cabin fever. hope its not demo though
a podcast from a while ago kind of intimated that there won't be supernatural aspects in the show, y'know, as worldly people consider ghosts and so forth--- tho i understand that some witnesses are more sensetive to creepy fantastic phenomena than others. i personally think that Jacob is a man lost in some time flux [past? future? likely both] and he is able to flash here in there appearing seer-like. but, hey, i guess we'll find out.
Lost was mondo hardcore tonight. I couldn't believe my eyes.
yeah i screamed WHAT!!! several.. several times
when does lost come back?
April 24th at 10 pm
I liked last night's episode. I'm glad it put my thoughts to rest. i was discussing Lost w/ Austin & some friends, and we were thinking that it's going to turn out that everyone on the island is actually dead. And we were like, crap, it's going to get all demonic & we'll have to stop watching. And when the captain was saying how they found all 342bodies, i was like ugh, they really ARE dead, but then he said it was a huge hoax. So yay! haha
Season 4 is about who gets off the island and the fact that they need to get back. Season 5 is about why they need to get back, and season 6 is about what happens when they get back.
from lostpedia
i wonder what season will explain ALL THE QUESTIONS THAT HAVE NEVER BEEN ANSWERED
thank you
last night's episode was pretty crazy
please dont ruin it! i havent seen it yet
yeah, my favorite episode by far
it was a cool concept. i think on its own it could be the concept for a movie
mine too. it was severely awesome high sci-fi.
penny and desmond. the series better end with them being together 4 EVER. if they don't--- the writers are cynical and cruel and should be shot.
the coolest part was when desmond was running down the stairs in 96 and it looked like he was falling because he jetted into the future and then in 2006 he just like dropped/fell and caught himself onto a desk.
yeahhhh, those transitions were excellant.
overall the whole episode clicked. writing and directing shined. the editing was good. all the acting was good. i love faraday. desmond's acting was really, really intense and he looked like a total nutcase. almost too much for a tv show. but it worked and it lent to the emotional pay-off.
i love the sketchy guy dan's acting. like how he shakes. totally believe he's a genius just collecting his brilliant thoughts.
just caught up. how hot does sayid look with straight hair?
AICN.COM says:
“Lost” showrunner Carlton Cuse says the fourth season of his acclaimed sci-fi drama will be no more than 13 episodes this season, cut down from an order of 16 due to the writers’ strike expected to end today.
Eight episodes were scripted before the strike. Cuse hopes to produce five more to air this spring.
It sounds like Cuse and the rest of the “Lost” writing staff will end the fourth season at the same story point they always intended, cramming eight episodes of plot into the season’s final five installments.
“We will have to condense some stories,” Cuse tells The Hollywood Reporter.
The third episode of the fourth season airs this Thursday. Sources say all 13 fourth-season episodes could conceivably run between now and the end of the season without a break.
cool beans
so i watched last night. this show is so frustrating because as much as a lot happens, nothing ever gets resolved
haha, old news, papa
that's why they've given the show an end-point.
I have a dilemnia.... I am in the middle of Season 3 and I am debating about whether I should just watch the recap and then the Season Premiere or if I should tape them and watch them once I am caught up.... any thoughts?
watch all of em, it's worth it.
Watch the rest of season 3 before tonights episode. haha
i would get caught up and then start the new season. I don't think you'd really want to go back and finish season 3 after watching the new season. Unless you just start tonight, and forget about the rest of 3.
yeah, your probably right.... ok thanks.
ok, so it seems my wife will be making me watch this show from now on... i just saw the 2 hour "recap" episode with the subtitles so I'm caught up.
so when is the Season Premiere? And did they do what they did last year which was start the season and then take a three month break?
Thursday, the 31st. game, set, match.
thanks, are they always going to be on thursdays now?? what time?
thursdays, 9pm, i believe.
responding to critics and fans the producers of Lost have decided to finish off the series in three seasons of sixteen episodes.
The original idea was to run 16 episodes in 16 weeks. Bad news though... because of the writer's strike it's unlikely we'll get more than 8 episodes this season. so, Lost will air 8 weeks and then it's off the air til the strike is settled. since they have a very finite story to tell, i can't imagine they'd short us 8 of the remaining 48 episodes.
i hope they figure this out.
wait, this is the last season??? its taken me this long to get caught up and now they are ending it????????
three seasons left. sixteen episodes per season. the last season is scheduled for 2010. i don't know if the strike will push that date back a bit..
alll riiight. i'm all caught up.
anddd i don't know what to say. pretty brutal episode actually. lots of rough killing.
they toyed with the "flashback" thing again.
sad to see Charlie die-- though the character had run his course.
is ben lying? oh, i give up. can't wait for this series to end.
I can't belieeeeeeeeeeve it's not coming back till February
FEBRUARYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
I don't really understand why you guys put spoiler tags...if you're in this forum, wouldn't you have seen the show? I have not...but i just click on it so i don't see the red "new". (And I don't read the comments...cuz I don't want to spoil it for myself...so why the spoiler tags???)
i was actually just thinking the same thing lol
Well thats because some just come here and lurk and we dont want to ruin it for them if they end up watching it
hello? *tap tap* anyone here?
LOST knows how to do a finale dang it!
i don't think charlie had to die and i'm annoyed that he did
the rest of hte episode was great
so many WHAT!? moments
well, he can certainly swim out through that porthole... doesn't seem like they showed him actually die.
also: WAAAAAAAALT!
oh my goodness I KNOW
and the whole flashback/flashforward WOWOWOWOWOW the whole time i was thinking WOW this is a side of Jack we never saw before and a side that i would just NEVER expect... this is sooo not jack...
i was so confused for a sec when Kate stepped out of the car
yeah, me too. and i should have picked up on it from the beginning, because i was looking at Jack's cellphone, and was like, "oh, stupid people are using a phone that didn't exist in 2002 or whenever the show is supposed to be. they sure messed the timing up on that one!" haha, joke was on me!
here's a hi-res pic of the newspaper clipping jack was looking at: http://bp0.blogger.com/_RrObyQ3XzcY/RlUe-1YihSI/AAAAAAAAFkw/ucINFuG1jfo/s1600-h/newspaperclipping2.jpg
I think it's either John or James because we don't really know either of their last names for certain. At this point, it would make the most sense to be James because of Kate's history with him.
could be Jacob!
true!!
it's john lock and james ford. i was thinking it could be ben.
Ian that is so funny you brought out that point with the cell phone! I was thinking the same thing, I was like, they didnt have the KRZR or the MaxxVE in 2004! Thats a huge slip up on their part!! it made all sense though at the end of the show... haha
i was totally thinking the same thing about the phone, how they're so careful with everything else but they just throw him a new phone? and then its all good cuz its future. but i'm kinda thinking that the newspaper says juliette. cuz then why would kate go? they way she said she had to leave before HE FINDS out makes me think that she's with sawyer.
which why does jack kiss juliette and then just be like i love you kate?
and is jack's dad really not dead? he said to see if his dad was more drunk. i always had the feeling that jack's dad was in with the others so what's up with the fact that they make it back to mainland and his dad is there?
the dead person might be someone we haven't met yet.
it's been nailed down that jack's dad is dead.
now, while having heroic tendencies, Jack is now a junky doctor like his father was. a self-loathing do-gooder. and now, kate, the one prone to running, wants to get back to her man, whoever that it is. some things change, some things stay the same. i'm pretty sure that flashfoward isn't where the story will end. i'm thinking there's a lot more. and who knows... maybe they'll play the alternate reality/time loop game and have that whole future thing never take place, but that'd be lame. we'll see in 2010!
that's exactly what i was thinking... maybe that's just a reality that could occur based on what's happening now
Its true the death of Charlie, wasnt necessary but how great was it when Hurley ran over the army guy!
wait... who was the girl that charlie saved in the alley? my mom thought it was sayid's girlfriend. but i dont think it was, but i do think it's somebody we do know.
p.s. someone told me and i saw it about in the episode with desmond in the abby that while he is saying goodbye to the father the picture on the priest the picture on the priest's desk is of the priest and the woman who wouldn't sell desmond the ring for penny. the one who explained how people have to die and you cant change destiny. that woman and the priest in the abby right before he meant penny. intersting.
yeah i was pretty sure it was Nadia, Sayid's chick
and yeah, that's right about the picture on the desk too
http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Ms._Hawking
who was trying to mug her? anyone we know??
http://bp3.blogger.com/_8HhjIy50yEY/RkvQomnoeoI/AAAAAAAAAFM/uMvllUpoEJo/s1600-h/robber.JPG
last week's episode was the high point of the season. last night's episode was total filler, and boring. it was so boring that Lauren fell asleep. I had to wake her up to see the end.
the season finale is gonna be insane
that was quick! i knew saw something. i wonder.
you definitely saw it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=479HkrFTZiI
that was quick! i knew saw something. i wonder.
Uncle Rico!
tune in noobs! major reveals tonight. henry gale/ben linus flashback!
wooooooooooooooooot
after tonight the next 2 weeks are gonna be recap episodes I read
DUMB!! GAY!!!
http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/05/07/television.lost.reut/index.html
The Emmy-winning adventure series will run for 48 more episodes over three seasons. Each season will consist of 16 episodes, which will air uninterrupted.
ooh. thanks. sounds good to me.
E! Online says ABC seems to be getting ready to announce these things:
* "Lost" will end in 2009.
* Following the “game-changing” May 23 season finale, there will be a seven-month hiatus before new episodes return in 2008.
* The series will be moving to an earlier timeslot.
yeah what does game-changing mean. this worries me?
LOST is on a super good roll
uh, it's a good roll if you mean "lame story lines and predictable plots"!
my favorite part of this week's episode was when Locke stole the tape recorder ... good lift, I think.
didn't i tell you to get outta here!? lol
sensible explanation of paracute girl event...
OK The parachutist was coming to the Island to bring the news that someone was actively looking for them, and because of the "incident" (Desmond turning the key) They may have found them. That parachutist also brought a satellite phone because "since the incident, we've got communication problems" (said Tom in previous ep). She was supposed to land and fire the gun to call Mikhail. But she missed her landing and punctured her lung. So, not knowing who the people caring for her were, she spoke different languages, to find out if they were Mikhail. Now the official translation of what she said in Italian is "I am not alone", meaning others are coming or perhaps another parachutist fell in the water. Mikhail did show up as intended when the gun was fired, and left with the phone, again as he was supposed to.
Now why would she have Desmond's picture? Because she knew about Penny looking for the Island, she was coming to the Others with a pic of Desmond, to tell the Others they should maybe let this one go, so the search will be called off.
heh?
still another angle...
She was sent there by Penny specifically to find Desmond, just the way the guys in the research center also speaking Portugese were working for Penny, too.
Penny doesn't care that Flight 815 crashed. As far as she knows it has nothing to do with the missing boyfriend she's searching for.
Patchy was investigating the flare that Hurley shot and ran smack into them. When Naomi said "I am not alone" I believe she meant, "I'm not the only person who was in the helicopter" as in, "There may be other injured people that came with me that are still alive in the jungle that need help". Patchy would obviously not want the Losties to know this, seeing as he always seems hell bent on not ever helping them unless a gun is pointed at him.
As for Naomi saying "No one survived the crash", she could just be repeating what she'd heard in the news, ad nauseum. I mean, how many transcontinental flights do you know of that have crashed in the middle of the ocean, NOT shortly after take off or while landing? None. That IS the kind of thing that people remember. Hell, I still remember the plane (TWA 800) that crashed off the coast of Long Island back in 1996 and I didn't know anyone that was on it or have any reason to be particularly interested in it. Those kinds of things just have a way of sticking in your head, especially when there's been exhaustive media coverage, as was certainly the case with Flight 815, as witnessed on the monitors that Patchy was watching in his hut.
hm, both of these are great theories, and almost convincing.
i definitely think that she came looking for desmond, and had no idea that flight 815 had crashed there. i also am leaning towards the idea that Mikhail came looking for her because of the flare. he ran in, and walked out with the phone. he was after something.
ok, me and a friend were having a chat about this show, and he was telling me his theory about how the island is a "Garden of Eden" type set-up, where you go and either never get sick or heal ridiculously quickly. Somehow that didn't actually apply to Ben, who was born on the island but got sick anyway.
That seemed to agree with what Mr. Eyepatch said "people on this island can heal remarkably quickly" - although I found it odd that Charlie was able to recognize Mr. Eyepatch and connect him as the man who was bleeding from the ears earlier, even though Kate told Charlie Mr. Eyepatch had died.
Also - Sun is a hot dresser, back in Korea.
haha i thought the same thing!!(about sun) i really loved the green dress she wore and i totally want it!! but it made me mad that it really was here fault the way jin turned out. i think embarassment of learning your real mother is less than becoming an unhappy killer.
what a jam packed episode
i loved it
so what do you think about the ending? the plane was found, no survivors.. maybe the media was manipulated to report that? maybe ben & crew faked it?
yeah my mind went splodey several times during the episode, that was one of them, and i really just can't think about it haha it's just crazy, plays into the whole time travel thing
we know ben and co. appear to have unlimited resources, but even they couldn't fake something like a plane crash with hundreds of people on board, all dead. i think it's a space/time thing. alternate reality.
what about the fact that the russian guy goes, ohyeah she's speaking italian. clearly she is not because hurley said spansih and he understood what she was saying. and she said "estoy muriendo". not "sono morire" why'd they just straight up believe him? why are they so stupid?
p.s. and juliette said about getting all the samples from women and she'd have one soon from austin=kate. what samples are you taking and why do you think kate will give you one?
Because Kate is going to be having Sawyers baby!
oh snap. i didn't pick up on that. orrr they artificially inseminated kate.
was anyone else annoyed when Juliet said to the tape recorder, "i hate you." regarding ben. we KNOW that! it just waters down what could be a really good reveal that she won't actually end up being on ben's side in the end. i'm pretty sure she ends up with jack.
she speaks english, spanish, italian, and chinese
lil tidbit about Matthew Fox aka Jack:
He'll play Racer X in the new live-action Speed Racer flick, to be written and directed by the Watchowski Bros.
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/film/news/e3i24b21916578451e57aa4cf5cb1c856ad
dan. just stop watching. lol
lost was pretty cool last night. there's been a stretch of really good episodes and it's all coming to a head. can't wait. like theres a better show you're watching? hahaha!
i really liked the whole camping trip, jin's "scary story" .. kate.. kate kate kate... what can i say.. you had your chance.. i duno ..
umm yeah the ending of the episode was annoying yet intriguing
i'm confused about the whole desmond back and forth timing thing.. does this mean that he already lived all of this.. or.. what.. i don't get it
this one was a true flashback. the last one was light mental time travel.
dude jin telling the scary story may have been the most hysterical part. i was cracking up because it is scary in any language with the flashlight in front of the face and then the one arm thing. hysterical!! i love him.
in previews for next week they haven't even talked about sun being preggo's in so long i kinda forgot. and now she's asking juliette about what happens to preggo's on the island....insanity!!
that part was funny, my favorite quote of the night was
"hey are you guys trying to pick you favorite Other??"
i like the sawyer/kate mix tape bit. that had me laughing.
that was my least favorite episode. did they have to keep showing that scene of charlie getting stabbed in the throat?? and then he didnt even die for all that waiting - anticlimatic, i think
ok, so last night's episode was probably the worst one I've seen in a while. I was so bored halfway through ...
I have to say, the highlight was seeing kate in her tent (wink wink)
Your married... "if you look at another woman, you have commited fornication in your heart"
oh please, you're single. same thing applies.
and at least get your quote right
"everyone that keeps on looking at a woman so as to have a passion for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart"
I know I got it wrong... it's the principle that counts!
but the principle is about having a passion for another woman in your heart. i think you're stretching it a bit here.
Or does it? I think it applies more toward married men than single men (hence the word "adultery" and not "fornication"), because married men should only look at their wives that way, while single men, since they arent in a marraige arrangement, are still able to look around for the woman that they could have a passion for...

please relocate this to the "i have diaper rash" forum
awesome episode. really, really well done. that's a major mystery solves. i'm pleased.
turns out juliette was a plant ... didn't see THAT one coming, didja ? (*snicker*)
last night's episode was pretty good, they finally answered why the others took claire, why she woke up screaming about needles and her baby, why she randomly started getting sick, why Juliette found the "secret" hiding spot in .4 seconds, why Juliette was on the island in the first place, and finally, my favorite -
that tranqualizer comes in sugar packets! who knew!
man i was really hoping that juliette was gonna be good. i'm so upset that this is what turned out. i hate her. and i hate how she's manipulating jack and the fact that there is a machine inside claire that can be turned on and off.
best chickfight on primetime? yes i think so.
maybe why they moved to 10 pm? so we can see some ack-she-yone!
it was pretty brutal actually. kate is a really lethal person when she's cornered. she's terrible. it actually made my skin crawl when juliet was screaming from kate choking her with her own dislocated limb. hardcore.
yeah, i love kate
in a long line of kate episodes that suck-- this one wasn't bad. i understand her more, but she's coming off loonier and loonier. she's crazy. jack, listen to me, GET AWAY from her! juliette isn't much better tho.
the smoke monster was coming to judge kate, the way it judged eko! kate gets away for now. i wonder if it will find her guilty! when she confronts her ma, she said she not sorry about killing her pop. if she rolls with that, smokey will kill her.
i think juliette is a plant from ben. no way she was left behind like that. pariah or not. she knows too much. either she's a trap or she's not. if she is, she may not spring because she loves jack. who knows? i hope sayid tortures EVERY SINGLE secret out of her NEXT EPISODE, but i know that won't happen! we get a juliette flashback though. that should be good.
i can't believe Locke.. well.. i mean i can believe it but at the same time COME ONNNNNNNNNNNNNN
believe it, missy. he's always been self-serving to this end. he's gonna go with the people who know the most about the island. that's his focus.
seriously one of the best episodes in a LONG time
I loved all the flashbacks.. BOONE!! SHANNON!! ARZZTZTZTZTZ!!!!
oh man.. good times
"I don't trust that guy, (Arzt) we should haev asked Ethan for help" LOLLERZ
clues = Locke - "things don't stay buried on this island"
the director saying to Nikki - "maybe we can bring you bakc, maybe you didn;'t die"
Vincent pulling the sheet off Nikki and Paulo.. he knew they were aliiiiiivvvveee
I'M PARALYZED. POWERLINES?? PAULO LIES?!?! hahahahah
oh man.. sooo good i loved this episode
and i can't wait for the Kate-Juliet beat down next week
yeah i did sorta enjoy last night's episode
nikki = hottie
paulo = antonio banderas wanna-be
i didn't realize about the clues, but I guessed it the moment the spiders appeared
also, did you see boone looked like death?
nikki was quite hot. no two ways about that. but paolo... he's like Antonio Banderas and Gael Bernal Garcia, all rolled into one. nikki wasn't a very good actress, i don't think. paolo was better. great little stand-alone, mystery, mythology episode.
yeah tahts' what i said after it was over it was like a stand-alone little mini-mystery-movie
i loved it
ugh, i have no willpower...my stinkin DVR messed up again and didnt record Lost...and i have no willpower NOT to read comments until i watch it....grrr...
someone kill this thread and this show
Lost is a multi-course meal at a unique resturant. you don't always love every single thing about it and their might be some time between courses, but there's enough satisfaction in it that you'll return and maybe even order the same meal again. Heroes is straight up fast food. They give you exactly what you want and at a pace that keeps the fat happy. The Lost folks are telling a story. A finite and multi-layered story. The charactarizations are generally pleasing and are certianly rewatchable. The underlying mythology is very rich and mysterious. When it ends it'll be rewarding to those who've stuck with it. Heroes? I don't even know. All the charactars and situations are ripped from popular comics. It's familiar and very easy to like. The pacing isn't deliberate or realistic. The episodes are NOT rewatchable because all the events are neatly cleaned up with weakly contrived exposition. They don't trust you to put it together yourself and they'd prefer to insult the viewer's intelligence rather than reward the viewer with an experience that challenged them.
so, in short, lost owns you
im sorry i actually like tv shows which try to wrap up at least half the story line in one seasons rather then just brush things under the rug and never answer them or even make it look like they even happened in the first place, confusing and alienating more of the viewers as it goes along.
i agree with you 100%, what's the point in trying to confuse/alienate viewers just because the writers can't figure out how to answer a question asked two seasons ago?
WHERE IS JACK'S DAD
AND WHERE IS WALT DANGIT
I got that old Lost feeling back. Super-sick episode.
not THAT sick. as soon as locke snuck into ben's room and started talking about the sub, i said out loud "he's going to blow up the sub, jack's not going home". SOOO predictable.
Lost is often purposely completely random to pretend like it's unpredictable - and that makes it predictable. I practice by saying to myself "what's the craziest thing that could happen right now?" and then, whatever it is, that's what happens two minutes later.
I was telling my friend Lauren last night - in heroes, they answer every question in the next week's episode. in 24, if Jack Bauer doesn't get an answer, he tortures or shoots you.
Lauren's response was "that's good for Jack Bauer".
