"LOST"
the new tv show "LOST" is absolutely essential tv watching. i watch NO tv, but THIS is a QUALITY show. i admonish all to watch it. the two hour pilot was clipped into two pieces over the last two wednesdays. luckily, they're replaying the whole pilot, combined, this saturday.
this show's got awesome action, the effects are movie-like, the acting is KEY and all the performances are spot on, the characters are COMPLETELY unpredictable. one of the coolest aspects is that theres like 50 survivors in the group so they'll be a revolving door of interesting characters and personalities. J.J. Abrams, the mastermind behind Alias, is in creative control of the series and thats definitely a good thing.
the thing that hooked me is that this isn't a normal "plane crash survivors stranded on a tropical island" dealy. you don't know why the plane went down, you don't know where they are, you don't know who's going to be dangerous and who's going to be helpful. there are some REALLY mysterious scifi undertones that will make for some HUGE revelations later in the season and series.
color me extremely excited. i'm having a viewing at my joint on saturday. YESSS!

Page 2 of 5hmm. I guess I haven't been on this site in a month, cause 4 episodes have gone by.
the hurley episode was a waste and not what I wanted to see when I was getting frustrated with this show.
but the last 3 episodes have been really really good. the one tonight was awesome, and what a great ("could it be ...? no it couldn't be.. whoah! it is!") ending.
yeah that ending had me in a state of shock, confusion, and a thirst for more!!!!
haha
good episode
what is gonna happen now?!?! yessssssss i have the feeling back
haha
it's so funny, every time someone knows something, or someone asks a question, they never tell. like when Sun asked about Claires mother...she's like..."i've gotta get going" stuff like that...it's so frustrating...WHY not just tell her!?!
yeah or when the eyepatch guy said something to Locke "The John Locke I know..." and Danielle interrupted .. WHAT WAS THAT!??!?! I would have been like SHUT IT FRENCHY .. go on Patches...
last night pushed my dad further into his theory that desmond is the man in charge.
THAT is what I am TALKING about!!!
Finally a LOST episode that, at the end, leaves me going HUH?!? and thirsty for more!!!
can't wait for next week
or.. actually.. wait.. this IS Lost.. so.. I can't wait for like 10-15 episodes from now when we find out what's up with Jack
Yeah, what was with him playing football with the rest of the others?
either he was brainwashed like karl or he is playing along to try and get off the island
both are messed up. If he really thinks he can get off the island... why wouldnt' he somehow try to get his friends a ticket home too? oooooooooooh the mystery!!!
i get the vibe he's done with everyone else and just wants to get gone. he saw kate with sawyer on the cam and decided he has no reason to stay. i do think they brainwashed him though. remember how completely nasty and uncooperative he was before? now he's playing football with zeke? nahhh.
yeah
i thought the football scene was definitely the only reason i felt like watching another episode, EVER
It was a good episode, finally some anticipation for whats going to come next!!
OOOH not a bad episode tonight. I enjoyed it. I loved the indian woman. Her snarl was amazing.
And her story about the cat made me cry, because I miss my cat.
Maybe the best episode this season. Very, very good. Everyone was on top of their game. Minus Locke.
yeah LOCKE.. c'mon... but ... he's Locke he's a curious one always pickin at scabs
oh and I AM IN LOVE with the fact thate Jack/Kate/Sawyer - are not together and the show is not focused on the "love" triangle
yeah very good episode
i know! what the heck was up with Locke? It was a good episode, but Locke was acting really badly in this episode i thought. He was like, not even shocked when the house blew up...he was just like "It said to push #77, oh well!"
All that Dharma information... blown up. I'm so mad about that. And part of me wishes he didn't shoot Ms. Klugh! I know we don't need any more characters in this show, but I was curious about her and what she did with Walt. Maybe we'll get a few revealing words on her in the future.
ugh
Not happy with the episode last night?
Hurley driving around in the van was pretty cool, I thought. Good vibes.
i guess. Just nothing happend. I duno
hurley - hey guys there's a car on the island let's go drive it
everyone - yawwwwwwwn
WHAT??! how can you not be excited about a car on the island
i duno like it's just not exciting anymore haha
i thought this episode kinda brought things together from the two big seperated pieces, the others and the losties. kate and sawyer are back. we see the people on the beach haven't been forgotten. some light-hearted, buddy stuff took place. this is a good restart. now we can focus on kate, locke, and sayid's quest for jack/answers/escape. while the beach people do what they do-- get water, food, build shelters, and wait. jack and the others are in a funny spot. since all the drama with them has died down a bit, maybe we'll get to see what they've been planning all along and particularly what they have planned for jack.
episodes like this are very necessary. slow it down and kinda rebuild the tension again. the tension has been high for like 9 episodes. it's good to have some good vibes before another foray into violence, science, and cosmic conspiracy.
Yeah pretty much. I thought it was a completely wasted hour of my life. I'm getting so very turned off to this show and it's sad because for a while it was the best thing on tv. I'm not even sure if I'm gonna watch it next week. It's rather sad.
i'm so with you. i feel like my time is wasted more and more every time i watch. plus, since it's on so late, it's even more annoying.
"on so late?" seriously. eleven is by no means late.
see, i like to bed in bed early so i can wake up early and do my bible reading and stare out the window
yeah Lost being on at 10 is too late for me too... interferes with getting up early for the gym!!!!
all right. since that's your routine you win. but you can watch lost online at any time you want.
yeah! everyones starting to hate a little too much now. everyone-- stop watching! this show is too good for you! jk
meh. i still like it.
ugh, i am begining to hate this show....it is however a necessary evil...as much as it totally annoys me weekly...i will continue to watch it until the end of the series.
I am beginning to agree with you Jahanna... The first two season kept me captivated, but now its become an annoyance, its like watching a bad car accident, you should turn away when the people inside start to burn up and scream for their lives because of the flames but you just cant turn your head because you want to see how it finally ends up...
I agree wit bof'a y'all.
yep... sadness
eh.. thoughts?
STILL NOTHING REVEALED OR EXPLAINED
and.. Jack and Bai Ling?! REALLY? wow that was the least chemistry i've ever seen on screen, IMHO
this episode basically said "we remember that people got kidnapped, the kids and cindy, etc. so, don't say we don't remember stuff that our deep neglect made you think we forgot! we showed you a little more of the others, while not explaining anything. many of the losties were in a position to ask a lot of questions, but alas, no good ones were asked. and we shed some light on jack's tats because the teenie boppers were curious! and we'll even tell you what it says, but we won't tell you what it means" that is all this episode said. that's it.
the "marking" of juliette was stupid. why make it a complete tramp stamp?! and why draw the parallel between her and jack!? they have nothing in common and it makes no sense that they'd make googly eyes at each other. and let me just say that karl and alex being together makes no sense either. alex is cute and karl looks like he has downs syndrome.
i noticed this episode was directed by a WOMAN who's NEVER directed an episode of lost before, that's why it was so weird.
this was a below average episode.
haha a WOMAN! lol...
yeah jack and juliet googly eyes.. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh pleaaaaaaaaase
ben looked so weird on the beach in his white robe laying on the stretcher
karl said NOTHING and I'm so glad Sawyer hit him hahahahhaaha
srsly, Lost... why are you doing this to me?!?!
Lost is like a stock you excitedly nough early...and you're watching it go down a nickel at a time. You're hoping for the best, but nickle by nickel...nickel by nickel....
I've been reading a buncha theories and I've come up with this:
The numbers [4,8,15,16,23,42] are a formula revealing how "universe" has destined for the world to end. The people who discovered the formula also discovered an anomalous electromagnetic pulse that defies laws of nature and effects space/time. They think if they can study, harness, and control the EM pulse they can find a way to change the world's inevitable destruction.
We know now from Desmond's recent episode that the universe "course-corrects" events to make them align with the destiny outlined by the "universe." We don't yet know for sure if this can or will somehow change. I imagine the series will end on that note.
Now, the scientists with the Hanso Foundation and Dharma Initiative are, as we know, working on a vast array of projects. It's unclear if the researches by the two groups were/are being conducted concurrently or if the groups are the same people. Doing said research on the anomalous island effects the results of the research and makes different, more fantastic, albeit ethically questionable, sciences possible. Still, the electromagnetic pulse and it's effect on the earth and the possibility of it being used to change the path toward earth's destruction is the focal point of study.
Now there's the series of unbelievable coincidences with regards the characters aboard flight 815. It appears that this is the universe "course-correcting" and inclining events to bring about the earths destruction as destined by the "cosmic plan." The plane crashing on this particular island where an elaborate plan is being implemented to save the world is clearly no coincidence. The people on the plane are being manipulated by the "universe" to throw a monkey wrench into the Hanso/Dharma plan to save the world.
This explains why the "Others" are so hostile towards the "Losties." The "Others" are very determined to continue their projects and research and they know the "Losties" presence is a product of the "universe" "course-correcting" and manipulating people and events to bring to fruition it's "cosmic plan." they can't simply explain this to the "Losties" because it's far too complicated and existentially contrary to everything they know. no one would react well to talk of their own actions not being their own and how they're being manipulated the universe. that is why intense brain-washing procedures are being used on the Dharma/Hanso recruits.
That's what I've got so far. Any questions? lol
just for reference.
i don't know how i've never seen this and the other "lost experience" stuff. interesting. i don't know if this totally squashes my theory.
is this a future episode's video? becuae i read they were going to find a new hatch and i cannot watch this whole thing because it will mess it up for me.
it's not an episode. it is small videos that were part of the Lost Experience alternate reality game on the web. It's official, but it's like a side show. It was made during season 2.
i'm sure it's online somewhere but did anyone read Ben's lips when he was talking to Juliette?
how do you people remember character names? i don't ever remember them mentioning her name.
ha i have a really good memory
to this day i can name all the characters from Felicity and I haven't seen that show in years
i didn't see it anywhere, but i thought the same thing. so far no one has read ben's lips. i just know he told Jules to let them go. i don't know if that was all.
I dont watch this show. but it sounds retarded.
What every new episode is independant of each other?
They just start throwing in new things?
I bet they aren't even on an island.
UNRESOLVED PLOTLINES CHECKLIST
Others walking in the wilds with the children
Smoke monster
Virus
The two skeletons found in the cave
Crazy French woman and her expedition which looks to relate to Alex
Jacks vanishing dad. Only the coffin was found not the body
Walt and all his silly powers and animal issues
The other stations
How the heroin plane got there. Pretty far from Africa for such a small plane.
The whole numbers thing.
How Rose and Locke were healed.
Where the cable leads. It didn't end at the waters edge. We know it leads to Danielle's fort.
If the animals were on crazy French womans expedition why are there cages on the other island? And if the animals are related to the other island how did they cross the bay?
The freaky foot statue from last season.
i think the creators are hoping that everyone forgot 90% of those and they just keep throwing new unresolved plotlines at us to make us forget
WE MUST NOT FORGET
This is my biggest complaint about the show, if only they would answer something once in a while and resolve it, because even when they do answer things it just leaves more questions! I'm about ready to give up on this show, with heroes around who needs it!
there's a tunnel between the two islands, right?
i believe so. with the underwater hydra station in between. because i'm SURE the losties would notice, hoods or no hoods, if they were put on a boat and moved to another island. while theres no hard evidence just yet, i imagine theres a chunnel, lol.
i rented season one and started rewatching. i missed episodes here and there. what is up with the girl that drowns and claire almost drowning last night? no one else seems to be going out for a swim in the ocean.
and what about the fact that if charlie was supposed to die while saving her, that she would have died too. right? so now is she gonna die too?
i'm definitely starting to give up on this show
Did anyone watch the recap that was on at 9? I think after seeing that that Calvin, who was in the hatch with Desmond, might be Kates dad.
It was a really, really good recap. It covered quite a lot of ground and it was intercut with some revealing interviews with the producers. I'm certain you can view it at the official website.
i wasn't expecting that guy to get hit by the bus
yeah, me neither. BUT that's a very overused tool. it's been done on so many shows already. the person is talking... BOOM. you jump, you feel bad, you're effected. it's a cheap shot.
so.... thoughts?!?!
i thought it was a pretty decent-paced episode
but i duno i'm bored :(
like the mystery of the island is gone or something
i duno :(
so... Lost comes back this Wednesday.
Anyone gonna bother watching?
I think tehy are moving to 10 p.m. which is cool because I don't have to rush home from my meeting
But.. that means it ends at 11 which is laaaate i need my sleep!
i'm gonna watch, i still want to see what happens.
is 10 a worse time or better? prob. worse i'd think.
i'm so there. i may be the only one, but this series has held my strongly held my interest from day 1. i'm gonna stay aboard and see it to the end.
this season is shaping up to be pretty cool. lots of others flashbacks, contact with the outside world, fights! the next season is said to be "an all out assault." whatever THAT means-- i'm there.
i like a slow burn.
i was reading in a magazine about how the producers were talkign with abc about ending it so much soon than the eight seasons and only going to 5 or something. but they just werent sure yet.
but yeah i'm still watching and i support 10 b/c that is usually when i get home from work!
Yeah, they agreed on 5 seasons, I believe.
It's very important there be an end-point in sight, so they know what they have to do and what questions need answering. 5 seasons is good, I think. That way they don't have to have a bad season and they can satisfy the fans by making a neat package. It's always a shame when a series craps the bed and is cancelled. I'd much rather a series run it's course and tie things up.
oh ya i'll defintely watch haha just hope it's good!
ok, you know what? i hate you people. i never went into this thread because i never watched the show, but i knew one day that i would watch it.
now i'm halfway through the 2nd season, and today i thought "oh let me go into the lost forum, i bet i could share my views on the show" and i'm kinda skimming some stuff, and you people didn't use spoiler tags!! I am JUST at the part where sayed is torturing henry, and i see "henry didnt' push the button" ... you think you people could maybe use spoiler tags? ARGH
yeah.. our spoilers in this thread are a bit spotty... sorry
Dan dont read this Jack dies........................................................................hahahaha
yeah right
a lil preview for the 3rd season of LOST
http://tv.ign.com/articles/720/720495p1.html
i think they could be handling the webgame a lot better than they are.
I miss LOST. I really do. I can't wait for new episodes.
Also, I can't watch the reruns. For some reason watching the old episodes is frustrating to me, because I'm no longer in suspense and I know what's going to happen next. I can only watch new episodes. Old ones.. just.. blah.
I totally agree with you on that one. The rewatch factor is almost nonexistant.
yeah! it's only like if the episode was really fast-paced and I might have missed something that I want to re-watch
but other than that, it's like painfully frustrating to watch the reruns
I am in a way not looking forward to the season starting... I don't currently have a east coast feed, I will be 3 HOURS behind almost everyone here in the convo. It'll be painful.
there IS one episode i can watch over and over "...in translation" from the first season. what an amazing episode. start to finish. i love sun and jin.
I rewatched the season finale this weekend. The four-toed statue foot and calf just kills me! I need to know whyyyy.
oh man i'm listening to stuff on Itunes and all of a sudden I hear
"I never pushed the button"
Henry Gale's voice! must have started the Lost episode instead of skipping to the next song
it was so good to hear him!! hahaha
lol that's funny
WHY DON'T THEY TALK TO EACH OTHER!!!!
so annoying, they all know little bits and pieces, but for some reason they keep it to themselves. Kate finds costumes and fake beards but doesn't really tell anyone, then she goes "your beard's fake" to Zeke and Jack is like "huh?"
they definitely should have had daily meetings to tell everyone what they know. or a web-site made out of coconuts maybe.
this show sort of reminds me of this show called "The prisoner" or something like that. i've only seen a few episodes, and it was a while ago, but it was a 60's show where this guy was on an island which was a prison/town, and he was a prisoner, but he didn't know why. and he keeps trying to escape or figure it out, but it just opens up more and more questions.
i watch lost enough to have an idea of what is going on, but I need to know why michael killed analucia. did they explain that?
because he wanted to get them to give him back walt. and they said he had to set henry gale free. so he shot her so he got get him out cuz she was the only one guarding the hatch. then libby walked in and he shot her b/c he was scared. and shot himself to make it just look like henry gale escaped.
And all that enraged them to action... to leave with him.
so then analucia was one of "the others" that kidnapped walt?
she was NOT. or else she would have let Henry go herself. She was shot because she was in the way of Mike's plan to free Henry.
on the topic of the others - i feel like fake henry might not even be their leader. it seems like they constantly make the losties think one thing is the reality, but then throw them for a loop.
yeah so what happened in the season finale, was everyone else as confused and dumbfounded?!?!?!?!?! I have absolutely NO CLUE where they are going with this. NO CLUE.
CIA operative Joe Inman:
http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/gallery/214.html?photo=4
http://lost-media.com/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=displayimage&album=957&pos=639
Desmond's hatchmate Kelvin Inman:
thank you! i was trying to remember which flashback he was in.
they're the same person right? Kelvin said he was a "spook" (CIA operative)
so why the different first names?
I liked the finale a lot. nice revelation: Gale is their boss, but is he the "HIM" that Zeke was talking about in Claire's flashback?
But the zinger of them all: THE OUTSIDE WORLD. Desmond's girlfriend hired some russians to monitor electromagnetic disturbances to find him? what??? and they found some?!!! wow. up till now we haven't seen anything about the outside world except in flashbacks. that was way cool.
Hanso Careers site: hidden letters
If you look at the job descriptions on www.hansocareers.com you'll see some letters that are gray.
nslutmIemAya
Possibly an anagram.
"asylum inmate" maybe?
...
lostpedia had the answers already
# Each 'Job Description' contains certain "gray" letters (which can also be observed by viewing the source code):
* nslutmIemAya
# This is an anagram for "Inmate Asylum".
# If you select the text of each job description, there is a hidden link to the Executive Bios of the Hanso Foundation.
* Click on the Board of Directors
* No need for any usernames. Just type "Inmate Asylum" as the password. This works on Vanderfield and Peck profile login only.
* After the screen starts to change, click "submit" a second time to view new messages from Persephone.
wow... crazy stuff
can i just state once again my undying love for FHG
Fake Henry Gale
they said he was only signed for two episodes. BUT the creators insisted he become a regular because of his POWERS OF PURE PWNAGE! goodness, he's the best.
i would totally become an other for him hahahhaa
after all they're the good guys
DUDE what happened....
i don't even know what .. to.. what happened?!?!?!
WTH!? STFD!
[what the heck, shut the front door]
I don't even know what the heck just happened. I'm just sitting here like a monkey. With two bananas. And a rubix cube. I'm happy and confused.
bah bah bah bah bah bah speechless
Hurllleyyyy *lick*

LOST Season Finale TONIGHT!!!
Jimmy Kimmel LIVE will be interviewing a Hugh McIntyre tonight after the show.
http://lostpedia.com/wiki/Hugh_McIntyre
Yup, Jimmy will be interviewing the character, not the actor playing him. Should be interesting.
garrrr i can't believe i have my meeting tonight! at least i can see kimmel. in all his glory.
i didn't see the season finale cos i was out, but i saw this interview. it was pretty disappointing i thought. they could have made it look more convincing and less like a bad SNL skit.
agreeed!
what room was she talking about? when walt started talking and the lady said do you want to go back in the room.. i hope they explain that soon
yeah, me too. i'm sure it's a lil dark room with a stiff chair, straps, and only dharma tapes to watch.
i feel like it might be a room where he can't teleport (if that's what he's doing)
i don't think he teleports. i think he manifests himself. like an apparition.
bah don't say that. i want to be able to continue watching the show. :/
what's the deal with that vaccine charlie found? I wouldn't put that stuff in me unless I talked to Jack first....
Yeah, that was a bit weird. they need to start expounding on the sickness/vaccine dealy.
sooo... good episode, nice to see what Michael was up to all that time. I'm so glad Sayid figured out Michael is up to something. And michael was telling the truth when he described their camp. I thought he was lying about that. so I guess in the hatch that they guard is their headquarters and the camp outside is fake and was set up just to throw off Michael? that sounds like a lot of work.
i was trying to figure out why they'd ask for those 4. is there some connection between them?
honestly I was surprised that Hugo was on that list. good thing he agreed to go with Michael. otherwise Michael's plan would have been over, he needed all four people.
maybe the others percieve them as the leaders of the survivors? if they remove them, by capturing them, then the rest of the survivors will be easier to control?
This is definitely building up. Also one other thing, the boat at the end of the episode... I think it's Desmond, he said he was sailing around the world when he ended up on the island.
You might be right about the "leader" thing. I'm not real sure tho. I'm thinking MORE it might be part of the experiment or part of who they're connected to in the real world, but the leader thing MIGHT be on. Jack is a leader, Kate appears in charge of things sometimes, Sawyer tries to keep an advantage over people most of the time, ie. supplies, guns, etc, Hurley was the food leader at one time. I'm not fully buying all that yet though. I'm full of ideas.
yeah, I was thinking hurly too for the food/supplies thing.
As for the boat. It probably is Desmond! Good EYE! At the beginning of the season when someone said people left on a raft-- he laughed like it was a ludicrous idea. Maybe he laughed because he's tried to leave on his stinkin' boat and the Island keeps bringing him back again and again! OR maybe it's NEW people being dragged in. Happens a lot, it appears. Do you know what Michael was talking about when he said he wants a boat? To escape?
I missed that. someone called while I watching Lost (aaarggghhh!)
The camp was described correctly, but Walt alluded to they were just pretending, and remember the nursery hatch, with ragged clothing and beard glue... I still think it's a ruse that they are playing all 'camping like'.
someone down in hawaii took a home vid of the camp and posted it on you tube
agreed.
yup. you're right. i personally think they're stocked.
do you think that ms clue is higher than "him"?
It's definitely possible. Gale said, "He is no one."
Yes, but wasn't she just squatting out side the 'bungalow' when they arrived...
But agreed 'him' is nobody but a spokes-model, all for show.
Plus what about 'Malcolm in the middle's pseudo girlfriend', what is up with her? All concerned about the baby...
That's the crazy French ladies daughter, Alex. [are you french?] Mid-season, in Claire's kidnapping by Ethan flashback, Alex helped her escape.
Absolument! Comment est-ce que je pourrais avoir été un tel bouffon?
But I guess Spanish would be more.. understood...
Absolutamente. ¿Cómo habría podido ser tal bufón?
Oh, and no, I am not French... ohh the French.. with there wee beady eyes, and that smug look on their face, ooohhh your going to buy my.... Freedom Fries?!?! :-)
could there maybe be a connection between eko and his dreams and him starring down the black smoke last season?
Even better, what happened to the black smoke! They're running around the island freely now it seems.
exactly! it seems to have disappeared and eko and locke were the only ones ever to actually stare into it.. and they are having dreams that tell them where to go could there be a connection?
Well, they are the only two on the island that really have faith in the things that are occuring. There is Rose, but she pretty much keeps what she knows to herself.
But there are other things happening which shouldn't to bring more to light. i.e. Sun getting pregnant.
OMG, if Darma put all that stuff down there in the late 70's early 80's, WHERE DID THOSE NEW KENMORE WASHER AND DRYER COME FROM!!!
HAHA! y'know, the kenmore air drop.
WHY THE @#&^* IS LIBBY DEAD?! MY THEORIES MADE SO MUCH SENSE LAST WEEK!
at least she got the michael out before she croaked
they don't think she's implicating him in the shootings though. they think she was concerned for him. this will unfold interestingly.
ahh but the observation hatch might have a recording
yup. i'm guessing ecko and locke, maybe others, return to the tv hatch and watch the video of the shooting AFTER michael leads some main characters into a trap. and it'll be too late.
But where would the recordings be? Locke and Echo won't find it for some time. Because it's not in that hatch. It's in another hatch.
yeah that was pretty upsetting
she died well. death scenes are a big deal for actors. nowadays a death scene needs to appear authentic and be pretty jarring. gone are the days of the dramatic head jerk or the light fall. i thought Libby died quite well. she looked unattractive and absolutely terrified. BTW: i was having some rice and beans when sawyer was checking her and she spit all that blood out of her mouth. i totally gagged. mad gross.
yeah. I can't believe she's dead. I really like this episode. very informative. ecko keeping the faith. I can't believe Locke put that piece of paper in the chute. so stupid. "they"'ll notice that.
I kept thinking, "playback the video from the bunker!"
oh my goodness. they look like crackwhores.
wow that flash is crazy, she looks way different in the second picture
LOL too much! :-)
ana lucia was just on the showbiz show with David Spade and they had this picture and she was sitting there looking at it like so embarrassed.. it was funny
HAAA, so funny. she's totally handling it well tho. i've seen her on a few shows and EVERYONE brings up the DUI. she just says, yeah yeah yeah i'm a nut and i need to calm down, grow up, etc.
yeh it was great and david spade was like i dont know if they told you but while you were in jail your character on Lost was killed and she was like what? like acting all suprised haha it was so funny
I love Lost. It's kinda funny seeing some of the cast around though when I was living in Hawaii. I ran into Evangeline (Kate) twice while I was out there, Dominek (Charlie) once, and Hurley once (he's a BIG guy, not just fat, he's pretty tall). The girl who plays Libby shops at the store my friend works at occasionally. And Dominek and Evangeline have been known to make out in front of her store. :P I've got a picture of Dominek taken from her cell in the store.
So many theories in this plot line, and yeah, I agree, Libby isn't dead. The Rodriguez girl probably is. She only had a 1 year contract anyway. I wonder how many seasons they'll drag this on for. Great writing though, keep everyone coming back for more.
I am totally in love with FHG (Fake Henry Gale)
He's the best thing that happened to Season 2
ok. I like fivezero's ideas, pretty much what I was thinking. I was really really shocked at the ending, I was upset. But great episode. At first I thought Michael killed himself, but I realized he shot himself in the shoulder.
Now what will Gale do? This should be an interesting next episode.
I agree Libby can't be dead, they just started some stuff with her. that would be stupid.
so what's everybody thinking about jack's dad and that girl? how long ago was this affair. cuz that woman was pretty young so i dont think his child could be claire?
and why the heck is jack's dad everywhere? he knows anna lucia, sawyer. i mean as far as i'm concerned. i think kate killed him. she may as well have. and why would he need protection from a woman?
oh and i think desmond is off some place cozying up wtih rosseau. oh gyeah. apparently that's how things go down on the island. they're lovers.
Tidbits:
Remaining season rundown: Eko, Michael, Desmond+Various Losties.
The Sawyer "I'm walking here" thing isn't random. If we remember from Season 1, Sawyer ran into Jack's dad at that bar. They had some drinks and chatted. The facial hair and overall soused old doctor look is consistant in both episodes. Sawyer told Jack about the encounter. I think Jack's dad is definitely part of Dharma somehow.
Good call on the Jack's dad/Claire dealy. That's an almost sure bet.
As for Libby. She's not dead. It looked like a lot of blood ran down, but that was the wine for Hurley. She'll be in a coma til the last or maybe second to last episode where she finally fingers Michael as the shooter. She's got wayyy to much story for her to be dead. Her connection to Hurley and maybe Desmond. If she dies -- it better be early next season after one of her flashbacks.
I'm just FULLY shocked by this.
I suppose it's kinda possible Michael was captured by the others as he was approaching their installation, was DRUGGED by them [he DID say, when he woke up, that his head hurt] and given a proposition: We'll give you Walt, if you scratch off Anna [revenge for killing goodwin?] and let Henry go. Although I think chances are Anna was just in the way of what Michael had to do. Same with Libby. Can't leave witnesses. NOW Michael's going to fake like Henry shot everyone in the hatch and bailed.
Motive? I think there was either a proposition [mentioned above] or MAYBE [i'm leaning toward this idea] a revelation by Michael. He probably saw that the Hanso people are fully stocked and loaded for anything. They've got tech, guns, facilities, resources. Maybe he saw that the Hanso folk are just a bunch of perverse scientists that don't mind experimenting and hurting people who are "bad." They do what they can to seperate the "good" from the "bad," snatching Walt, snatching a bunch of tailies, attempting to snatch Locke. Even making a list that was alluded to early in the season. Maybe they showed Michael that Walt is fine and in good hands. Maybe even let 'em have a lil nappy headed reunion. With this the Hansos might have completely turned Michael away from those "bad" crash suvivors on the beach. And even if they didn't totally convince him, they'd still be his best bet. And we all know Michael doesn't care about anyone but himself and his boy. We'll get a Michael flashback soon detailing what happened while he was gone, ala Claire. Should be great.
I think we'll find out I'm right. Or on the right track. As for how it plays out exactly? I can never peg it. Ever. It's just good TV, guys.
yeah i don't even have words right now to express it... except that the MOMENT Michael ran through those woods in the previous episode i just KNEW something was up
and when he said "give me the gun, i'll kill him" i just KNEW that wasn't gonna end well
Killing off Libby?!?!?! huge shock, but the two actresses did get DUI's recently, they were probably a liability and the writers needed to get rid of them
however, it's possible Libby isn't dead
i'm thinkin there is still too much of a story to develop with Libby to really have her be gone
I agree 100% with the Libby thing. It would be a huge mistake to kill her, because quite simply I want to know her story, lol. I want her flashback in the mental ward with Hurley. I'll be mad disappointed if she's dead.
so my boss and i have been formulating a theory: we think libby might be in a recruitment idea in the real world. like you've never seen her backstory. nothing. i mean she was supposedly a psychiatrist but she was IN the mental ward. and she gave hurley a weird look when he was talking about figuring out where he knew her from. plus i hear in upcoming episodes she is gonna have a linkage to desmond. i'm soo iffy about her.
i heard about linkage to Desmond. BUT HOW?! how are people coming up with this?
this is a great show promo they didn't end up using: http://youtube.com/watch?v=XxscvJU2a6s&search=tv%20show%20LOST
yeah, i saw that last year. way awesome. i generally think david lachapelle is a tool, but this is a cool promo. they should used it or at least aired it at some point as a freebie. beautiful song and the cinema is great.
