A general reply to a bunch of posts here
You have to realize how powerful Palpatine was with the dark side. He was influencing the entire senate, and all the clone troopers, and obviously Anakin and Mace Windu, and maybe even Padme.
In one of the books, it talks about how when the emporer died, basically all of the armies and other servants of the Empire basically gave up and stopped what they were doing. He was controlling everything.
I think the only way he was able to keep hidden from the Jedi Council for as long as he did was because he didn't fully turn on his powers until he took over the Senate and invoked Order 66.
And, on Padme dying, I think the force had more to do with it than her just losing the will to live. Almost like she was tied to Anakin in the force somehow.
insightful.
Alot of energy is used up by women in child birth. Add to that anxiety and a woman could die in child birth like that. People have heart attacks when they get too excited. So this is no different.
I like Ian's explanation better. Yours might be plausable if it were the middle ages, but not in a society that mastered intergallactic travel.
It's a movie not real life. And if Padme were tied to Anakin in the force, GL would have made it known. Padme is not force sensitive remember.
Umm... I think you're a little too into this series.
Yeah I know. I'm a geek.
