When I was a senior in HS I was in AP Lit. One of the girls I was friends with was not the brightest crayon in the box. She wasn't stupid..she just wasn't real smart. She was showing everyone her admissions essay for college and asked me to look at it. It sucked real bad. It was on the topic of like who's been important in your life. She'd say stuff like "my mom has always been there for me" but then leave it at that. When I told her to include examples like "my mom has always been there for me..like that time I ate my pet goldfish and she grabbed it out of my throat" but she didn't think so and said it was fine. It still makes me mad that she got into college.
