I dunno if this is controversial or not. Things I don't get about...The American image & mass media:

#1 If one is of a particular extraction and they have curves and a bit more to them naturally...it's called voluptuous or curvacious, considered sexy.

If one is of another mixture and they have a similar build it's big boned or full figured, like the person should loose weight.

#2 If someone is thin, then they are too thin, and therefore MUST be anorexic or bulimic (as though no one has heard of genetics).

#3 If you gain weight then you're overweight adding to the "American Epidemic".

#4 If one person has a pale complexion then it's considered delicate or fair. If another person is a bit pale, they're considered pasty and emaciated.

#5 If a person gets a tan, they're at risk for skin cancer and they need to stop tanning. If a person fake bakes then it adds a nice "summer glow" or a "sexy just came from the beach bronze".

#6 If one is of one nationality and they have frizzy hair (we're talkin totally frazzled) they're called riglets (despite the fact that they will cut you if you touch them) not a thing delicate or fem about them.

YET. If one is of another persuasion the same EXACT pattern of curls are described as kinky or coarse.

#7 If one person looks one way and they have a little substance to their lips they're called pouty or sensous and considered sexy.

Once again if the person's look slightly varies the lips are describe as Big (like they're juicy and disgusting)

#8 First subject colors their hair and "it looks sooo good" but, if we vary from the formula subject number two is considered a poser or phony.

#9 If one is darker than a "summer glow" then they're DARK. If another is darker but, with a slight twist they're considered exotic.

#10 If someone with natural pigment tries to even out their complexion then, they MUST have the Jako complex.

**These are only a few of the crazy & confusing things I've noticed. Unfortunately, i'm sure there are a lot more. agree\disagree site examples.
