Saw this last night. Overall, I liked it, but I didn't understand something. WHEN did the aliens bury these machines? Before humans existed? If so, then how could they have "regarded our planet with envy" like it said in the beginning, if there was no one or nothing to envy? And if it was AFTER humans were here, then HOWHOWHOW did they get the machines here without us seeing that? That's what I didn't understand.

Also, the ending was too abrupt. I understood what happened, but more explanation would have made it pulled together more.

yeah how did the son and the entire family that was in boston escape unharmed?:!!?? like the woman is pregnant but no she is too far superior to the machines. her daughter was living in a cellar but she just sat at home and all was fine. cuz boston isnt a major city they'd try and take out.
