yo, mike and ian - what the HECK are you talking about?

Mike - I plan on having a Win XP home box with NOTHING else on it but MP3s. If that means it's an MP3 server according to the Schiano definition of the word - great. Wireless speed is a non issue. I'm not sharing with any neighbors.

Ian - all I need to do is map the drive, right? End of story. Map it and ITunes.

As far as I'm concerned, the ftp IS an mp3 server ..

take that extra drive, slave it on your current PC, map yoru current PC drive

why waste space putting on XP if you wont use it
