I watched the show last night to see how Jon Stewart did. I liked him. Too bad the audience didn't. Of course Ben Stiller cracked me up. Same with Ferrel and Carell. Pretty funny. I love the Noir film montage introduced by Lauren Bacall [i thought she was gonna keel over]. I love Noir. I thought a lot of the wins were justified. I loved that 3-6 Mafia won for "Hard Out Here For a Pimp." I was SO rooting for them. Jon's crack, "Martin Scorcese, 0 - Oscars. 3-6 Mafia - 1." Was so great. I know why Reese got the Oscar. Because she played a now dead person in a movie! That might be true, but then you could say "Joaquin Phoenix did too and he lost to Phillip Seymour Hoffman." [deserved it. his career arc is astounding. capote looks amazing]. WELLLL, I think and I think the Academy thinks that Reese Witherspoon has peaked. That's the best she can do. I KNOW Phoenix hasn't peaked. Reese? Done! Oscar. Send her off. Anyway, pretty good show. Watched it with a few friends. Surprised it ran so late.
Commercial-wise: M. Night's American Express commercial was as creepy and abstract as I'd expect a commercial from him to be. Looked great.
yeah i have been loooking for noir films all morning to prepare for a 40's and 50's movie night!!!!!
holy crap. can i come!?
yeah! i'll let you know when it taketh place!
yeah that shyamalamalaman commercial was really cool. i only picked up like one or two references tho. probably because i haven't seen all of his movies
it was a commercial during the oscars?
it was good? what was it about..
i don't think i could watch Capote with two hours of PSH talking like that. He's an interesting dude he always plays interesting parts from what I can remember... but that voice.. no.. just NO. NO.
N.O.
no
no. no. NO. just -- no. now that i've taken time to reflect -- NO. still no. not now. no. uh-uh.

as soon as rita and i thought something, jon stewart said it. i loved that.
