To Rzeczpospolita Polska I must then go. Btw, I didn't get selected to go for the Special Convention. :(
Awww my pioneer assist partner is actually going to that one..not that I mean to rub it in, I'm just very excited for her. Don't worry, she's years older then you, you'll get your turn! (unless this system ends then itll be one big international convention)
I got accepted to the International Convention in Switzerland back in 2003.. but I wasn't notified until the last minute and I had orginally been sent a letter saying that I wasn't accepted. So by the time, the 2nd letter came saying I could go, I had already made plans to go to London. So, that's why I was really looking foward to going this time, but I guess they got a load of requests. :(
I heard from our secretary a few months ago that someone at the service desk told him that there had been over 20,000 applications.
Originally, the criteria didn't allow for that many applicants, and since they needed more to apply the criteria was changed twice after that. With the 3rd criteria change, they must have had more applicants than they could let attend.
Yeah. I barely even qualified to apply. (It'll be 10 years this June.) I didn't really expect to be accepted, but it would have been nice.
Hey wo norries, we qualified. And, nobody's greater or less than anyone else in the Organisation. And, just to show that we wanted to go, means something. We reached out to do something Spiritual. And, maybe next time we'll get to go.
Did they actually send you a letter telling you that you weren't accepted? I ask because I applied and never heard anything back, so I'm assuming my application got rejected. It would've been nice to hear something, though.
I didn't get a letter back either this time. Must have been to many applicants to be able to do so.
