for about a year i listened to pop punk. i recently gave away all my cds. the music is fun at a show to bop around to, but singing along to those lyrics made me feel dumb. the musicians may have technical skill (as opposed to let's say me...who doesn't play any instruments), but their shallow, less than intelligent lyrics don't speak to me at all.
