bledsoe is good but old. eli will be beter than him this year. mcnabb is to beat up. he is good, but has no good recievers. i think the eagles will be last in the division. they had no team last year, and havn't done to much in the offseason to improve. plus, they couldn't win a super bowl with T.O. they will not win one without him.

the cowboy's picked up T.O. who is an amazing reciever. but he cannot get along with anybody. so i would not be surprised if he causes problems for them. they would still be decent even without him though. he was a low risk pickup for them.

last year the giants won the division with no linebackers, and and an O line that was injured, and forced to use a lot of backups, and switch positions. and tiki still had the second most yards from scrimmage in history.

true, sam madison is not what he used to be, but he is still a pro bowler. the rest of our secondary is solid. will demps should be good, and gibril wilson has proven himself as a good safety. webster is young, and showed potential last year. michael strahan, unlike the freak, is still productive. him and osi led the league in sacks last year. and they have two other good pass rushers, justin tuck, and mathias kiwanuka. yes, they did lose a good D tackel, but they have good backups such as fred robbins, and drafted one in the third round. plus, lavaar arrington wasn't released. he was a free agent.and now that he is on the giants he will be playing on the strong side, were he played for his three straight pro bowl seasons. and now that antonio pierce is healthy, he will have other linebackers around him to pick up the slack. plus you have to remember that pierce and arrington have a chemistry together. they played together on the redskins for a few seasons. arrington's talent is undeniable.

Eli did not do well toward the end of the year, but he was extremely clutch, and did lead them to a division championship. he can scrammble better than most QB's and has a great arm. the giants are also just as or more stacked than any offense in the NFL. shockey is one of the best in the league, tiki is one of the best, and buress and toomer score a lot, and now that they have a good, fast third reciever that can actually catch, in sinorice moss, things will open up even more for the bigger guys.

here is my prediction...

1. giants-division leaders
2. cowboys- wild card
3. redskins
4. eagles

jamiephaser jamiephaserOG 2003

Hmm thats an interesting take while I do agree with the fact that the G9inats had to use alot backups and thier offense is very very good thier weakness on offense is still Eli Mainly due to inexperience. Bledsoe is old yes but very accurate with his throws and if giving time will pick anyone apart. I am an eagles fan so saying anything complimentry about a cowboy is against my nature. T.O will get along great in dallas and theres no one more out there than me that hopes it implodes but it wont. To say Eli is better than Mcnabb or Bledsoe after his first full season of starting, well thats just the homer in you coming out .

I mean come on lets be honest here your hating . I admitted the talent when I see it Shockey Top three tight end and best in the divsion. Stranhan best DE in the division. If I was a homer I would be telling everyone hear that LJ Smith the eagles tight end is better than Shockey, but he isnt even close. Or I would say Westbrook is better than Barber, but again it isnt even close Tiki has it without a doubt. Heck I wish shockey was on my team.

But lets review Elis stats In the beginging of the season eli was clutch twice. Most noteably The Broncos game. Your most clucth offenseive player was TIki by far, without theres no playoffs for you.

PASS YARDS
Player G Att Cmp Pct Tot /Att /G TD TD% Int Int% Sack Rat
Eli Manning 16 557 294 52.8 3762 6.8 235.1 24 4.3 17 3.1 27 75.9

Thats an average season at best which is very good for a QB who is still developing. Eli is no scrambler . Better scrambler than Bledsoe yes but so am I. Eli is no where near a better scrambler tham Mcnabb not even close and if you belive your talking football with the home team mentality
I am not saying hes not good or he wont ever be better than he says but dont anoint him yet lets see him win a playoff game. I mean kerry collins took you guys farther. I know Giants fans were not singing his praises in the carolina game last year.

Mark Brunell
Year Team GP/GS Att Cmp Yds TD Int Rtg
2005 Redskins 16/15 454 262 3050 23 10 85.9

Just compare Mark Brunell And Eli. Brunell had Abetter season as you can see. A broken down Mark Brunell and I would of put up Bledsoes stats but they where the same as Mark and Eli's pretty much excpet Eli had more interceptions than both and a worse QB rating than both. Now Mcnabb on the other hand I think played eight games a half a season and got injured in the first game which ended his season in game 8 it was a groing tear. heres his stats Below.

Dmac passing stats
Att Cmp Yds Cmp% Yds/Att TD TD% Int Int% Long Sack/Lost Rating
357 211 250 7 59.1 7.02 16 4.5 9 2.5 91t 19 /112 85.0

Plus he had a rushing Td

Now Dmac played half the year and still almost had a better season injured. Than Eli Saying Mcnabb is all beat up and cant play anymore come on thats the homer in you coming out again. I know you hate the eagles which is to be expected division rivarly and all but come on lets be true to football here. To say that Mcnabb is basically all washed up after six season well thats just crazy. I dont think hes quite ready to hang up the retirement flag yet.

Mcnabb has more playoff wins in six seasons then all the QB's combined in our division in thier careers. Eli is 0 for 1. Thats ok cause I think hes gonna be real good. You wont see true results from Eli untill the season after this one. He will be competive, but the playoff run wont happen ths year. Youll make it but lose the first game. If you read the post game interviews with the coachs when Dmac is healthy he is a D cordinators nightmare. I am still laughing at Eli is a good scrambler. Mcnabb by far is the best Qb in the NFC east and in the top 5 overall around the league. Now where in the top is debatable . I will say the top two are Tom Brady 1, Payton 2.

This divsion will be close this year. Its gonna be the toughest Division in football to predict. Any team can win in this division. Its gonna come down to who has the best defnse and QB play and I belive the Eagles will. I hate picking them to win the NFC east beacuse it makes me sound like a homer. Just pretend I am a jets fan and feel sorry for me.

Also Lavar wasnt cut , but they didnt even attempt to resign him they just let him go and sugn elsewhere.

Have a nice day.

yeah, i do not like the eagles, but honestly, what have they done to significantly improve their team? also, i never said that eli was a better scrammbler than bigmac or whatever you call him. mcnaab is awesome. but you have to give eli his props. he can move around very well in the pocket. and he had a rushing TD as well.

another thing is, you are putting words in my mouth. i never said that mcnaab was "washed up," but taking the kind of beating that he does every season takes it's toll. it's a fact.

yes, eli is the least experienced in the division, but if improves this season as much as he did last season, he will be great. the giants had the highest scoring offense in the league for a few weeks last season.

also, bledsoe is a great QB, but cannot move around for his life. when you have pass rushers like the giants do, all you have to do is pressure him, and he is useless. he cannot release the ball, and he cannot run away. and he fumbles a lot. if you give him time though, he is deadly.

i am not worried about the redskins. they are good, but are always more of a nusance than a threat. i think that they are just a doomed franchise, lol.

look at the team the eagles have. they were a good team. they got to two championship games, and a super bowl, and lost all of them. they had their chance, and they blew it. every team has it's ups and downs. the eagles are in a down period right now, a rebuilding stage. they will probably stink for a few seasons, but it will ost likely pay off in the end. the giants sucked for a long time after they won the super bowl, but are finally becoming a great team.

my oppinions are not biased. i am speaking as a football fan, not giants fan. but hey, maybe you are right. these are all just predictions for now. have great day, thanks for your time. bye.

jamiephaser jamiephaserOG 2003

LOL as usual everybody brings up the past lol I know you won a super bowl on a prayer in 90 has nothing to do with next season. The Gmen by far were not a dominate team last year. Your still rebulding not the Eagles .

We had the best draft in the league this year. Thats not me talking thats many of the countrys sports writers. We have the same core that won multiple divsion titles. See what you doing here is simple . You think the eagles will have the same year as last year. You know even though they lost their starting running back for the year and QB. A starting CB and saftey. Even though TO wasnt injured its still a loss, We lost a starting left tackle and center. Any team would not surive that. Now remember we lost the super bowl the year before. Something like the last 11 super bowl losers didnt make the playoffs the next year. So its a pattern. But the year after they didnt make the playoffs they all come back strong. Like for example the carolina panthers remember them. They made it to the nfc champioship game and beating the giants on the way.

We by far arent rebuiling . Are biggest weakness is reciever and we did alot with crap recievers before t.o. We have a pretty good young guy named reggie brown hes no plaxico I will say that but hes an up and comer.

Also you said Mcnabb is to beat up to preform well I highly doubt that. This is his first real year of being beat up and he barely gets sacked some um yeah stop sipping the haterade.

All I need to be happy is that the cowboys dont win the division. Please no division title for the cowboys.

hunkpapap hunkpapapOG 2003

i think the cowboys not winning is the only thing i agree with

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder

again, you are putting words in my mouth. i never said that macnaab would be too beat up to perform. i said taking the kinds of shots he does takes its toll. if you don't agree with that you are mental.

and i honestly don't understand how you think that the eagles have a stronger team than the giants. you made a few good points in your first two posts. now you are just denying facts. the giants are not rebuilding. they had a good team last year, but injuries screwed them over. now their team is even better than it is last year. their is nothing to rebuild.

first of all the giants had been rebuilding for the last 7 years. now they are as good as any team out there. for those 7 years, the eagles were very good. now they stink. just because they have mcnaab again means almost nothing. it takes more than one guy to win a football game.offensively, who else do you have? brian westbrook? let's face it, he is just okay. reggie brown was decent at best for a rookie last year.

they have no star ecievers or running backs. lj smith is their best reciever. the eagles have always had a good o line, and i am not sure what it looks like this year.

on defense the eagles are okay. their best players are dawkins, sheppard, hood, brown and lewis. your linebackers are weak. trotter is way overrated.your d line is nothing special.

now look at new york's defense. our d line is stacked, with strahan osi, we have a bunch of good d tackles fighting fot the starting position, justin tuck, and kiwanuka. our linebackers are stacked. we have antonio pierce who is awesome, lavaar arrington who is amazing, and brandon short, and carlos emmons, who are not super stars by any means, but are solid players. we have so much depth at d line and linbacker. our corners are all pretty solid. sam madison has proven himself to be good. mcquarters has proven himself, and corey webster is an up and coming good corner. gibril wilson is awesome. and will demps is a solid proven safety. and we have lots of depth behind these positions as well.

the only reason you are saying the eagels are the best in the division is because you are an eagles fan. i am sorry you have a miserable team, but they are rebuilding. they might someday make it to another super bowl, only to have their butts handed to them...again.

We shall see what happens it will be inetersting. But miserbale isnt even close we are way better I love that every one is underestimating the Eagles this year I hope everyone plays them like a six and ten team lol.

When the Eagles play the Giants we should all get together. And have a bash . And justin tuck are you kidding me lol. That dline isnt stacked. Are dlineis gonna be real good this year youll see , but trotter is prowl bowl overated I guess.

A
alexOG 2001

i was just saying, justin tuck is a good back up, and adds depth to our line. he made the most out of every bit of playing time last year.

and when you have two of the best defensive ends in the league, i think it is safe to say that your d line is stacked.
