That's true... The AL could have choosen Joe Crede or Shea Hillebrand... Gayrod won because of his recognition, that's the only reason. I mean if NY fans are booing at him, why would they want him in the All Star game, he obvioulsy isnt good enough for their team..
I thought for sure that Crede was going to get it..Awod is just mediocre, and as much as they pay him, he should be the best. the allstar game is all who's more popular. for example, take Jim Thome and Travis Hafner. Both equally good, both awesome powerhouses..but who gets in the the all star game? Thome because he's more popular. Now you got me started, haha. whatever you don't get me started on how baseball needs salary caps. haha.
I forgot how fired up you get about baseball... this brings me back like 4 years ago when the Indians sent their all star 2nd Baseman (what was his name again) to the Mets and you werent to happy about that...
