If you really want to score big with the ladies.. I suggest Flyers. Just put a picture of yourself... and the words " Would you date me? " and put little tear offs with your number on it.....
You forgot "bethelite" hahaha
right right right exactly
i knew i was missing something
oh also "on the RBC"
because titles are the key to a happy marriage
::rolls eyes::
(don't want to start this discussion again i know it was discussed many times before... and while all of those things are great and admirable accomplishments, just because someone is one of those things does not guarantee anything, i've seen and heard too much to be that naive)
Titles mean nothing... if a brother is just out there amassing titles and not realizing the responsibilities that come with it than he shouldn't have pursued them.
A sister that is truly looking for a spiritual husband should see what the brother has overcame to stay in the truth... A brother who has grown up in the truth and never really had to go through any adversity or prove how much he wants the truth could crumble under the pressure a marraige could present...
Next thing you know, he is missing meetings to make more $$ to support a family or now that he finally got the taste of intimacy he thirsts for more outside the marital bonds... this may sound sad, but unfourtunately I've seen it too many times...
You should truly get to know someone before you pursue them... see how they act, what kind of person they are, how much the truth means to them... This doesn't mean that you wont have to deal with the problems mentioned before, but you severly reduce the odds of it by doing so...
Just remeber when you meet someone, dont solidify in your mind that your going to have to marry this person, but keep in mind that its all about seeing their pros and cons... observe and evaluate... try keeping the heart out of it until you know for sure that this is the person you truly want to see yourself with...
The heart can be treacherous and desperate so that should be the last thing to get attached, not the first...
Yea but what if my Title is : SUPERMAN
That'd be my title sir.
Ladies, ladies, ladies...What you need is the Mr. Mom type. They go through all the adversity and challenges that the pretty boys with badges do not. ;o)
Oh...What's this...I happen to be such a fine gentleman like this. You want quality...look no further...haha...
Hey Dan, howd the play date go? Didn't fly?
Went ok. She's a nice person, but I get the impression she's not ready to move on. Just things she said. I also left her a message last Saturday and she never called me back, so I'm just gonna leave that whole thing alone. Maybe I'll find someone in my new congregation. The new guy in town usually gets some attention. hehe...
lol So it was a good thing just to test the waters. Yours sister's old (your new) place got enough room for the kids?
I was reading an old post... you work WAY too much! How do you manage?
Yeah. I'm still not even sure about her, but I was just trying to make a friend initially anyway.
Kids each have their own room. So it's nice.
Dude, I get 2 weekends a month to myself. I get one to two hours a day to chill after they go to bed. It's rewarding that I at least get to train them in the ways of the truth without interference from their mother. But...I have no life outside of that. Going to the gym is exciting for me. LOL!
I should do more. :-(
I have ALL the time in the world.
I barely work a couple hours a day... although I am here for six+. (ezabel lol)
And the rest of the time is mine for meetings and service. And yet I am a procrastinating slacker.
Goodonya with the kids, must be rewarding at the same time killer. You got pics of the rugrats? Ages?
How do you link pics here?
If they are up on the web you use basic html.. haha like I know anything. LOL
If they aren't being hosted anywhere I can do it for you, send them over. I'll EZ my addy.
WOW this is SO well put!!
also, I've noticed ones who have been SOOO into a certain person forever and they finally date said person and they are blinded to the qualities of said person only because it's been a "lifelong crush" come true....so they excuse everything and just keep the relationship going, not realizing this can cause more damage down the line.
this happened to my bestfriend. he has this lifelong crush that finally came true, they dated and he was SO blinded to her bad qualities that stuck out like a neon billboard. but he was so stubborn to listen to his good friends. in the end he ended up getting hurt. so sad.
Keeping your heart out of it is much easier said than done, unfortunately. Especially when you have people in the congregation dropping all sorts of hints about someone, it's really hard not to get focused on one person too quickly.
HAHAHAHA OMG this is something that happened to me one time. there was this one bro that was attending at a circuit assembly and he made it obvious he was staring at me and would do so when i got up to use the restroom etc....and i def wasnt interested. he would try to get my attention and wouldn't even pay attention cause i didnt want him to think anything but to leave me alone.
anyway like 15 mins before the session started from the lunch break, my female bestfriend and i were sitting and jsut talking and that bro approached me. He comes up adn asks my name, i give it and introduce my friend. Anyway he's like still sitting there and my friend and i kinda smile then go back to our own convo we were having. then he pipes in "well im attending" (as he shows me his badge) in kinda roll my eyes and say, "oh thats nice" and look at my friend. then he goes on to say "so what do you do in the congregation? do you pioneer? i'm a regular pioneer and serve as an MS....blah blah blah" my friend is turning red, going into convulsions trying to keep from laughing out loud" so as he stops i say "um, WELLL, ya know, i have NOOOOO goals. im jsut a publisher and dont forsee myself doing any pioneering or furthering anything else in the ministry but being jsut a publisher" my friends DYING on the floor at this point.
thinking he would get the hint he then says "so what're you doing after the session" and my bestfriend lost it and was screaming with laughter. He kinda got the hint but didnt offically leave until my friends hubby came up. LOL
LOL. That's awesome.
dude, that's SOOO funny. i woulda paid money to see that go down.
my best friend and i still greet each other with "hi i'm a servant" and just laugh like it just happened.
Was he wearing Pants?
yeah speacialized ones that had "hello i'm an attendant" all over them. LOL
i know guys like that. most of them are just kinda down on themselves and so they have to tout their titles and achievements to make themselves feel better. while that's sad and annoying, it's kinda permissible. but some are plain arrogant and always wish to be holier than thou. those guys are just plain stupid and are missing the point of acquiring privileges.
no i totally understand. this bro was just SO arrogant & didnt get the hint.
Well thats where he went wrong.
His pants should have been off
Who hits on a girl at a convention with their pants on?
I mean.. it's ok to start off hitting on her with your pants on.. but you have to eventually drop the pants.
let her know whats going on.
test the waters.
hahahaha woow. that's awesome
