So I'm thinking Detroit is going to take AL. They are on fire. I think Jim Leyland has something to do with that. So maybe world series will be Tigers vs Mets.
Jim Leyland is a good manager. He is good with young guys. That's the matchup I was thinking too, but I could also see White Sox vs Mets too.
white sox has solid pitching. at the beginning of the season i thought for sure that detroit would fizzle out mid-june. but i was totally wrong.
Yeah he's solid. 16 wins usually isn't enough to get a Cy Young though. Typically a guy needs 18 wins or more. Randy Johnson is the exception to the rule, but he had a sick ERA and high strikeout rate the year he won with 13 wins or so.
