Hrm, concerts I went to this summer:
Fiona Apple at a PNC Arts Center type venue, Dresdon Dolls & Violent Femmes at some open field, and I think that's been it so far.
Best concert I've ever gone to would have to be Smashing Pumpkins at the Academy in NYC. It was a small venue, they only sold tickets at 3 local locations (anti-ticketmaster at the time), and it was just before or just after the release of Mellon Collie. It was before they began the world tour and only played in 3 cities, NYC, Toronto, and DC. Lot of energy at the show and I got to see Corgan come off the stage swinging at some kid who threw a shirt on him during a solo. It was really incredible how he - in mid solo - grabbed the shirt and flung it off the arm of the guitar and went back to playing with out skipping a beat. It was really awesome. I saw them once more in Nassau before the piano player od'd.
Runner up shows would be Modest Mouse at the Electric Factory. Radar Brothers opened up and !!! came on next. !!! rocked the house, they were so awesome. It was really the first show where EVERYONE in the place was dancing. !!! really puts on a good show. Modest Mouse was awesome too.
Another runner up would be Kiss at MSG. If you ever have the opportunity to see them, go, you won't regret it. It's what they do best.
WHAT I missed Fiona Apple... where was she playingggggggggggggg argg that's what i get for not keeping up with this stuff, heh
