So we're all moved in, and things are mostly organized. My stress level is way high, but other than that, I'm fine, I think.
So, how long is long enough, when following up on a job interview? I had one last Wednesday, and they said they had a few more people to interview, and to give them a couple of days....obviously it's only been 5 business days, but it feels like an eternity for me, because I REALLY want this job. Plus, if I call to find out, I have no idea what to say to them.
Ugh....I need a job.
I'd wait till Friday, then follow up and let them know you are very interested. Employers like persistence.
Ditto
Somebody keeps calling me for a job... it's like the lady looking for justice, she just kept at it until, she got it.
As long as your nice & courteous should be no problemo! :D
I've always sent thank you cards to the person I interviewed with either the day of or the next day. It keeps your name on their mind and makes you seem thoughtful. Just don't suck up and send a fruit basket or anything. I did a second interview once and the card was actually on the person's desk.
Was it on scented stationary? :-)
I don't think a guy can get away with 'thank-you' cards.
But, yes that is commonly recommended for just the reasons you mentioned, keeps you in their mind.
Maybe a guy could if there was a picture of a lumberjack on it and a little sawdust inside.
I would call today. It's been a week.
