Ummm so back a bit on the subject of entertainers/singers that are supposedly involved in 'shady business' and whether rumors are or are not true. What's up with Stevie Knicks???? She's just like THE original GOTH- A- SIZER but, I mean I think she has an amazing voice... I'm just weary to buy her music. Thoughts?

Wow I didn't even know about that...

One of the more persistent rumors which has trailed Nicks through the years is that she is a witch and is heavily involved in Wicca. While she has a love for the mythic (Rhiannon) and gothic, she has never been associated with Wicca nor has she ever called herself a witch. Though her work is copyrighted under the name Welsh Witch Music, that name most likely refers to the origin of the name 'Rhiannon' and probably provides no proof that Nicks, herself, is a witch.

hmm this is a conundrum...

while all things are lawful...

It seems that Stevie is 'known' as a figure of 'funny business'. So if somebody believed that she is and does 'funny' things, you could perhaps disenchant (stumble) them.

Stevie is mentioned in two different episodes of The Simpsons. The first is during a Halloween special in which Mr. Burns comments that Lisa's character possesses "more wicked witchery than Stevie Nicks." The second is when Homer takes out a list of "Things to do in life"; at the bottom of the list is the phrase "See Stevie Nicks naked." It is checked off three times.

so, while I own a few fleetwood mac tracks and a couple off of bella donna... now perhaps I would be careful who I played them around, plus I am going to examine the lyrics.

YMMV

I don't know if I would use the simpsons as a point of reference.

My best friend swore that clara barton was an ax-murder, because it was on the simpsons.

Exactly my point... lowest common denominator, this is a pop culture reference. What the lay person might, or does, believe?

I think the simpsons are more a satire of what people believe.

I like Led Zeppelin, even though a lot of people think they're both on the wicked side, I know the music doensn't really suggest that. Fleetwood Mac is so mellow and they lyrics are so fantasy-like; it's like saying Puff the Magic Dragon is about pot and therefore condeming Peter, Paul & Mary.

It's not like you're listening to the stuff out in service and could stumble anyone - you just need to do what your conscience tells you.
