Um, so THIS is what I found outside my house this evening when I came home. Just sitting there, on the back wall by my patio....looking at me....gross.

oh my goodness. get out of that place, STAT

Yeah.....those are nasty. My father in law came over yesterday and sprayed some serious bug killer around the outside of the house, and it's also a scorpion killer too. That's why we found those gross creatures....they were trying to escape the poison.

Bug killer, pish-posh you need to call in the TROOPERS!!

specialk specialkOG 2003

Yeah seriously...this thing was HUUUUUGE!!!

My father in law's bug spray is pretty strong though. Normally, when pest control companies make a batch of spray, they dilute it with about 5 gallons of water. My father in law dilutes his with about one quart....so it's pretty deadly. About 30 minutes after he sprayed, we went outside and there were bugs coming out onto the patio, flopping around dying, some already dead on their backs. Pretty crazy.

With that potency, it probably deforms people too. hehe...

EWWW EWWW EWWWWWWWWWWWWW....i would've freaked. so it was a scorpian?

specialk specialkOG 2003

The black thing is a tailess whip scorpion....in the scorpion family, but completely harmless, no stingers. They hunt bugs. Of course, I found this out AFTER I shrieked and made Adam kill it.

ewww, thats so sick. do you check your shoes before you put them on?!?!!

specialk specialkOG 2003

Yeah.....I flip them upside down and smack them together to tap them out....scorpions like to hide in shoes.

and you want ME to come out there?! This talk of the creepy crawlies has got to stop. My imagination is a little too good sometimes. I hope you don't find any bugs that look JUST LIKE ET, because then you can count on me NEVER coming. lol.

specialk specialkOG 2003

Hahaha....no bugs like that, hahaha. Hey, aside from the freakish bugs, we have some AWESOME wildlife....I have TONS of rabbits and quail in my backyard every morning....lots of birdies too. Saw a roadrunner the other day. Mostly, the creepy crawlies avoid you, if you avoid them. The worst ones are in the uber-desert part of the area, where people don't venture into anyways. :)
