We just got a new receptionist here at work and she's CONSTANTLY asking me questions about what she should do in different scenarios. Now, this is weird because: 1. The old receptionist still works here, she's just doing something else now; 2. There's at least 3 other people who cover for her when she's out to lunch who are all still working here, and I'm not one of them; and the most important: 3. I've never really been friendly to her. I mean, I smile when I walk by and I introduced myself when she started, and I'm not impolite, but I haven't gone out of my way or ever said 'Let me know if you have any questions' because I don't think I'd have any answers.
For example: There's a beta fish in one of those tanks with a plant in the top by the reception area, and she buzzed me about it:
Nancy: I was just wondering what happens to the fish over the weekend.
Diana: I don't know anything about the fish.
Nancy: Because I gave him 5 pellets this morning, but I'm not sure if that's all he needs. Should I give him more?
Diana: Really, I don't know anything about the fish. You'll have to ask someone else.
Nancy: Oh, ok.
she's prolly just drawn to u cuz ur so friendly and cheerful :)
I can't tell if that's sarcastic or hopeful -
She sounds like one of those people that likes to talk about useless things.
