Opinion: I know you're not allowed to bring liquids on to planes right now, and I guess I've made my peace with that. But what if you want to bring those little containers of extra contact lenses...
Can't you just pack them in your makeup case in your checked luggage, and pack your glasses in your carry-on? That way it won't go through the machine when you go through security.
I don't even think you can check liquids. The disclaimer on the delta site says nothing liquid can "pass through security" and everything checked would fit that criteria, right? I'm going to check them and put them in my regular clear toiletry bag. I don't want to hide them, cuz that might seem suspicious, but I don't want to put them right on top either. Such a hassle. And now I have to schedule an appointment with my optometrist to GET a pair of glasses. I haven't had any since I was like 16.
best idea is to ship them ahead of you if you can.
SpecK is right...
from tsa.gov
most items can be placed in your checked-baggage without a problem.
Hmmm, very interesting. Do you think they'll go through our checked bags?
As I have seen, they only do this with flagged bags, either some thing seen on the scan or YOU have been flagged. But this is anecdotal and nothing I have found in writing. So YMMV.
Rarrely do they do the random check....unless your me....in which case, they go through your bags, on your flight to your HONEYMOON, taking ALL your goods out for the world to see. Nice.
