If you were invited to a bridal shower for a friend, but the shower was across the country, and you couldn't afford to fly back, and RSVP'd no, are you still expected to send a gift?

are you attending the wedding? then i'd send a shower gift like you would have given her if you went to the shower.

if you aren't attending the wedding, i'd actually still send a gift.

so, either way, i'd send a gift.. haha
