Man, I'm still fighting with my insurance company. These people are clueless! Does someone know if it is illegal for a company to keep a driver on your policy who doesn't live with you? I can't understand why my parents can keep my sister off their policy, but I can't do the same.
yeah, seriously, this makes no sense to me. if you find out, let me know!
I'm gonna call another company and see what they say about this. This can't be legit.
Ok...Big surprise here. I called another company and they said my company can do what they are doing. So do not let anyone else drive your cars unless they are under your policy. This state sucks!!
What?! So, what's the rule? Why can they force you to have covereage for your sister that does not live with you?
Because she got into an accident with your car?
It's all about the risk factor. They removed my other sister because she isn't a risk.
i mean, like... what if my brother had no insurance? would i have to pay for him?
what is the tie between you two? does she drive your car sometimes? or is it just that she got into an accident with it, so they are saying that does drive your car and she needs to be covered?
Because she drove my car that one time and wrecked it. That is the incident creating the problem. So if your brother wrecked your car and has no insurance, you get screwed.
Ugh, man. And they won't take "she is no longer allowed to drive my car" as an answer?
Nope. She lives in Wharton. What are the chances she drives my car? Not likely. And certainly never again after wrecking a nice car.
why not tell them she moved to another planet? see if that's an acceptable answer. if they ask for proof, ask them if they saw the latest shuttle launch. just explain that she's an astronaut and they don't exactly give out boarding passes.
