Ty..what did this mean: "its the ports on your router... check to make sure you're not flooding in everything....vice versa" And what is UDP with AIM?

You're saying the only problem is AOL/AIM?
If so and if you've ruled out spyware/virus... then most likely the port AIM is going out of is either blocked or too highly trafficked. Check your router for that.

And UDP is just another protocol with less overhead then TCP/IP...
if you have an option on the router or aol to use that connection..
it would stop the disconnects..
