has anyone ever used those services online like telephone wise but you just call email adresses and its totally free? my friend in spain just sent me one but i'm wary of it. any help?
can you please rephrase that? haha i'm having trouble understanding it
programs that you download onto your computer that works like a telephone service. you call people's emails and you can talk. but its free cuz its through the internet. i've heard of it before but i'm not really farmiliar with it.
so in order to listen to the voice message from your spanish friend, you have to install some software or something? and that's what you're worried about? what type of file is the attachment?
no its not like messages it more like an actual telephone. it meantions that you can use it to call real telephone numbers but that charges you $ cuz it uses telephone lines and not already paid for internet lines. it says that it wont cost any $ to use it just for email addresses but i'm worried about getting hit with some charge somewhere. and its a complete program like windows not a file attatched.
Telephony is an older technology - is that what you're talking about? You may want to call your isp to see if they charge extra for that.
what's the name of the software?
Skype is free if you're calling other skype users.
Which one J? Skype? If it is you'll love it!
Everyone in Switzerland was using different programs like this and my one prof (who is French) was talking about how great Skype.
Yahoo has one but I think Skype is the best, it's what most of the people over there were using.
