Today was the pits.....

Had to help a poor old man in a wheelchair, who needed his vitals taken. Poor guy lost his pants when he stood up to get his weight taken. And he couldn't pull them up himself, because he only had one leg, and had to hold onto the scale with both hands to keep from falling. Annnnnnnd, his almost full catheter kept getting in the way. Sooooo, gross.

Then, this guy went into his appointment with one of our doctors, and left his wife waiting in the lobby. About an hour later, as he and the doctor are finishing up, the doctor calls me, asking for the wife. So I go page her....a lot. Every 5 minutes over the course of the next 20 minutes.
Then I find out, the wife has dymentia.....greaaaaaaat.
So, even though I was literally walking out the door when the doc called me, I spent the next 45 minutes calling security to review the tapes, and running all over the 4 very large floors of the building, checking every bathroom, nook and cranny all along the way.
We finally find her, but in the process, I found myself having a HUUUUGE desire to kick my female co-worker in the head....THAT is another story all in itself.
