I was just laid off. Hopefully it's a blessing in disguise because I will be getting severance while I look for a new job and can start pioneering sooner than expected.

me too. i'm feeling overwhelmed, but i'm glad i'm fully moved into my parents house so i don't have rent/living expenses to worry about while i look for a new job.

What kind of work do you do?

To be honest, I don't have a specific skill set. My two main jobs I've had were Account Management (setting up mobile phone lines for businesses and being the middle-man for them with the cell carriers) and this one was Marketing (primarily web-site content maintenance). I have kind of just relied on my charm and willingness to learn to get the job done.
