So we're renovating the basement at our hall. The brother in charge asked our hall to make lunch for about 10-12 volunteers this saturday. I told Donovan I'd help if no one else could, but I really wanted to spend a long day in service, so I preferred not to make anything if possible.
One of the older, um, hard of hearing, (senile) sisters in our hall says she'll organize the whole thing and make sure the food is taken care of. Donovan tells her we're not involved and gives her the names of 3 other volunteers whom she can contact and organize. So I didn't give it another thought.
We get a phone call from this older sister last night. Donovan explains again that we really didn't want to make anything because we want to do a long service day. After about a 5 minute conversation, the sister asks, "So can you bring a cake?"
haha, awww man that sucks
I'm not going to bring anything; it's just funny that this lady won't take "No" for an answer.
well you did say she was old and senile...maybe she just doesnt "get" it or hear you. LOL
Yeah, she spoke to Donovan, and he's too nice. I'll tell her what for. In a nice way, of course. :P
Stop being a baby! Bring an Entenmann's Louisiana crunch cake. Delicious and less than 5 bucks. Throw that on the table and say "take that, you old bag."
