NICE!!!! did you get a raise too? we get our reviews this week.
No raise unfortunately. I mean, it's a commission only job. When you get to certain dollar levels, the amount we keep from the commission split is increased and what the broker and company takes decreases. But, I haven't reached the first level required for a bigger piece of the commission. Hopefully I will in 2007.
Basically, I happy enough, to not get demoted. Yes, I could always switch over to another company, and I'd get hired like that. But, I wanna stay at this company.. for now anyway. It'd be hassle switching companies.. getting new signs, new business cards, telling all my leads I'm at different company, getting my license moved to a new office, etc etc etc. And, my current company I think provides an advantage for me getting business, since we're well known, and have a lot to offer, and such. I don't know if I'd have as good a chance at getting business as I do with this company.
Good for you, man. I'm sure your business will really pick up this spring, maybe even sooner. My sister in law is a new realtor and she's having a rough time with right now. Just not the hot market it was a year ago.
Thanks a lot. Buyers are finally ready to put offers in, since they realise the market's gone down as much as it's going to go down and if they wait any longer they'll miss the all time lowest mortgage rates and mortgage rates can easily go up faster than they can go down. So, it seems like people are finally reacting to it. Home sales have increased in past couple months. And sellers are finally realising if they want to really sell, they have to settle on a fair price. You can't expect to get over market value for your own house while expecting to "steal" the house you buy. It's all relative and evens out.
