You wanna lose some weight? If you're hungry late at night and you want a snack you just take a bell pepper and pop it in your mouth right there...

socalgal Jan 30, 2007

just drink water.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

yeah but then you have to tinkle a lot

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

socalgal socalgalOG 2003

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003

i can imagine a happy colon puppet with a childrens voice talking about how he needs to be healthy and water helps!

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

yeah i drink tons of water but i stop an hour or two before going to sleep haha

i eat ice chips at night, doesnt make you tinkle and gives you something to crunch on. this is why i love carrot chips...they are fresh carrots, just cut w/ ridges in them...like chips. so yum

socalgal socalgalOG 2003

i was reading this article that there's a certain percentage of peeps that just hearing the sound of a "crunch" will curb their appetites. Like they feel satisfied hearing a crunching sound. *am i explaining that right?

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

yea that makes sense, and i think that's me, i like something to crunch on. (why i always love fat-free popcorn) it's just like, something to do while sitting around w/o adding too many extra calories.

web-toedchloe web-toedchloeOG 2001

I've been addicted to fat free popcorn with a little freshly grated parm over it lately. It's so much better than salt to me.

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

okay, this is not really applicable, but why do people say "freshly grated parm" is it not as good if you grate it ahead of time? i get a big block of pecorino romano and shred it up in my food processor. same thing with "freshly ground black pepper" what's the difference?

web-toedchloe web-toedchloeOG 2001

Well I know black pepper loses oil as it sits out. I can definitely taste the difference there. Sometimes I pre-grate my parm, but mostly I'm too lazy. Plus it tastes "lighter" and sharper to me when it's freshly grated. Someone who came over for dinner told me it was the consistency of "snow". I think it hardens, albeit slightly, when it's pre-grated. It's just my preference.

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

yea, that's true, now that you mention it. makes sense.
