So I'm totally bummed. The place in my town that was holding the chili cookoff originally had it on their website, right? I called the number on the website in like, november, soon after I created this thread. No one called me back and the website was shut down. I thought they canceled the cook-off. I'm driving around a part of town where I rarely go this weekend, and there's a huge sign that says "Chili Cook-Off Saturday!" I checked the website, which was magically back up, and there's no number to call to enter (not like I'd enter now with zero preparation). All this pontificating about the perfect chili and I can't even enter the contest!!!!
