HEY! SOCALGAL...i have a question....is TAMAL singular for TAMALE? or is TAMALES the plural?

Austin's best friend was visiting over the weekend and we went to a mexican restaurant and were having this debate...and when we asked the waiter if Tamal was singular he said "yes, it comes with cheese on it". haha so can you tell me??

yeah tamal is singular when you're talking in spanish "un tamal por favor" or in english its "a tamale please" doesnt mean that there's cheese on it or anything, its just ONE. there's a different name for cheese tamales.

*i hope i didnt confuse you
