i don't think i'll ever be one of those people that likes working out.

its easier when you have a few friends to work out with. by yourself it sucks

Huh - I'm the opposite of that. I hate it when people try to talk to me at the gym. That's the 1.5 hours a day when it's acceptable to listen to music and not speak to anyone.

i used to love going by myself and now that i'm married i pretty much don't go if chris doesn't go, haha, but it's really more about motivating each other to GET there. once we're there the headphones go on.

having said that.. I LOVE working out and it's the 'getting there' that is the annoying thing for me, especially cuz the gym is like a 15 minute drive away.. if it was across the street i'd be in heaven

web-toedchloe web-toedchloeOG 2001

Yeah, totally. I like going with Donovan because then we're home at the same time and dinner-making isn't screwed up.

my mom is my partner, but her schedule is unreliable. if she has a patient admitted, sometimes she has to leave mid workout or she misses that day altogether. i was doing so well when i worked out at amstd with joyce!

yeah totally i would seriously go if i had some guys to work out with. I mean you just see the sweat pouring off each other and the sweat stained shirts and how some beads glisten off of finely toned musculature. And maybe a few encouraging (while playful and yet firm) buttocks slaps to say hang in there beefcake we're in this together. You get to spot each other and be there when they need you and gradually develop a bond that grows to encompass more than a friendship. You look forward to that precious time when your buddy squats and does his leg lifts. He doesn't want to keep going but you tell him how his backside is coming along nicely and is firming more than you both expected. Man i wish restraining orders were never invented. WHY?!!?!?!

HAH!

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

if you don't like working out maybe you would enjoy some other activities like jumping rope or those little trampolines or i duno playing tag outside.. ha or any other outdoor type sport... or swimming in an idoor pool if your gym has one... raking leaves.. walking a dog.. etc. stuff that makes you feel like a kid and lke you're just enjoying life and not just lifting up your feet to walk on a treadmill because that gets mad boring

malibu malibuOG 2001

this is why i enjoy tennis so much and the gym so little.

web-toedchloe web-toedchloeOG 2001

OMG I love those little trampolines!!!! With a medicine ball, they provide a seriously tough work out. And they're so much fun!!!

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

i want one of them so bad

web-toedchloe web-toedchloeOG 2001

Me too!!! I imagine it would be perfect for a basement, though, and we're on the 2nd and 3rd floors of an old house now. But that will all change very soon. Then it's trampoline city!

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002

i totally agree, but in the winter it really bothers my asthma. that's why i've been doing zumba. it kicks my butt! when the weather warms up, i'll start taking the puppy out again.
