self righteous people are a downer sometimes. i mean, be encouraging and kind, not judgemental and small-minded. sheesh. did you know these people well? it's possible they just got a bad vibe about something and they were a lil mouthier than she shoulda been.
that last line was murder, lol. good story.
Yeah, I've said that to people who would go out on a friday and miss service on a saturday habitually, just to let them know I don't think that's cool. But you and Austin don't, so maybe these people were just jerks.
i know! me and Austin we're both in their wedding in November! haha i don't know what his problem is. i want Austin to give him a call.
Oh, that's weird. You're close with them, then? Maybe they're just trying to be more spiritual as a couple and their intentions came out wrong. It's not that big a deal; maybe it would be better to let it slide and chalk it up to miscommunication.
yea, i guess...it's totally unwarrented. those kind of people make you feel like you have to broadcast all that you are doing..."i gave a substitute talk" "i have a regional project". i guess we're pretty close, we've only been really hanging out for like, less than a year. it's not like we're BFF. haha
If it were me, unless I was close to the couple, like confided in them, it wouldn't matter if they said stupid self-righteous things. I think sometimes friends just don't realize how they come off, and unless it's really bothering you, you might be better off just letting it go. That's just me, though. If they kept saying stuff like that, you might just let them know that's not cool and you don't appreciate the insinuation that you're less spiritual. It's hard dealing with newer friends versus ones you know you can say anything to.
yea, i'll let austin make the call...i won't say anything to the wife...if anything he'll talk to the guy.
Good call. Girls are much quicker to take offense.
no matter how annoying it is we need to be encouraging. thats a self righteous attitude to. we need to be aware ourselves that we dont fall...
