Hack question: The stupid computer guy in our office is responsible for installing the windows updates, so I turned off the automatic updates bubble, because I hate it popping up every day. Then, he asked me about it, let's say we exchanged heated words, and he changed my automatic updates settings to that every option is grayed out. How do I 'un-gray' the options and turn the stupid updates off?
Protip: Don't change it. If he wants auto updates turned on, you should leave them on.
If it makes you feel any better, I have Automatic Updates turned on at home. There's too many windows bug and vulnerabilities being found all the time.
lol... i see ian already responded but yes let them do things their way. part of the reason we had so many daylight savings time issues was because users were allowed to change their own update settings.
But if it's his job to know when the updates come out and change them, why should I be bothered with the stupid updates bubble every day?
