anyone here ever added a graphics card to a dell laptop after purchasing?

I found a sweet deal on an inspiron with core 2 duo, 2 gig ram, 160GB HD, Vista Premium, only it has a graphics card that shares RAM.

I'd like to buy an after market card and install it ... is that possible?

not gonna happen. you'd have to replace the entire motherboard.

shared RAM isn't that bad on a laptop, especially if you're not worried about games.
