What's the general rule for painting an apartment??? If the landlord doesn't specify, is it acceptable to paint as long as you make sure it's painted back to the original color if/when you move?

does your landlord ever stop by your apartment? if the answer is no, then you can pretty much do whatever you want.

That sucks, painted rooms make me feel happier than boring white/cream.

Your landlord probably doesn't like paint because it's harder to cover up the bullet holes.
