tons of peopel are getting evacuated
and it's totally out of control
and it's not good
and it was supposed to rain today and it's totally not raining at all and it's way hot out

I saw on the local news that they even evacuated nursing homes over there! Come on over to Vineland-nothing is burning down here.
I heard this afternoon that it was 35% under control. :/ Hopefully that's the 35% by you.

I could smell the smoke in Bayville last night. Actually, I was cleaning my apartment with the windows open and letting it all in. I didn't realize the pine barrens were on fire. I thought a belt on my vacuum was burning. When I took my trash out last night I could even see the smoke in the air.

i thought it was a couple miles north of us but it seems to be closer now? I don't know. I can't find a definite answer anywhere. And I was just out and about and there really wasn't any smoke, just like a white cloudy type look but not really any black smoke.. i don't know what's going on the media is messing with me
maybe its contained more so than the media is letting on? i would think there would be smoke? catalina island was on fire last weekend nad we got ALL the smoke and ashes and thats like a good 2 hour boat ride from us (dont know miles)
It's raining like CrAzY up here. The sky is practically black and I had to run to my car to roll up the windows I left cracked. My pants are soaked and I feel like a wet rat =(
