Cities in general suck.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

no, no they don't. Just Philadelphia. I love New York, Boston, LA, Warsaw, Berlin, haha..

B
brothermanOG 2004

They're going to be leveled at Armageddon. Good riddance. Giant sewage factories....

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

you are one of the most aggrivating people I've ever met. I don't think that YOU even agree with the nonsense you post, you just want to be controversial. But it's not even intelligent arguments, it's just crap.

B
brothermanOG 2004

Whoa... Hold on a second... You honestly believe Jehovah would leave cities like NY intact? Cmon... You remind of a sister I once dated that thought he'd leave NYC standing as is. Cities are not paradise. They are the exact opposite of what Jehovah wanted. He wanted the whole earth to be filled and paradise to be stretched all over, not 15 million people crammed into a small island creating disease, pollution, and crime.

I personally don't like cities, I'm an outdoorsman. If you like cities, good for you... I like some of the architecture. That's about it.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

hey you know what's a good idea, talk about this on the train next time you're going into New York, talk about how it's going to be leveled

and have fun in Gitmo

B
brothermanOG 2004

Well, I rarely go into NY so that won't happen. ;oP

socalgal socalgalOG 2003

we dont KNOW what jehovah has in store for us. we cant speculate. we may have cities, we may not. jehovah wanted a beautiful paradise for us...and we may go back to his original purpose.

BUT we have come accustomed to certain aspects in this life. like do you think jehovah will take away cars? planes? remember there are a lot of the friends who work in those areas. so they'll be fit to teach us to build them etc.

and again, like i said, we cannot speculate. all we can hope and pray is that we make it faithfully to the end to find out.

yay yayOG 2004

Gina wins. These are the least important things to be worrying about especially in our time.

B
brothermanOG 2004

True. People just got sensitive cuz I said cities suck. Personally I am disgusted by a lot of what I see in cities when I drive through them.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

lol no you can feel free to think that cities suck but to say they are ALL GOING TO BE LEVELED - that is extremist

B
brothermanOG 2004 juicymango

Ok, do you think a city like Rome with false relgious churches and ancient pagan temples is going to be standing after Armageddon? I'd say that's a no-brainer. All these big cities also have big overdone churches all over the place. You think Jehovah is just going to level those things and leave a bunch of office buildings on Wall St. standing? LOL! What use could these things possibly have for a people starting from scratch?

yay yayOG 2004 brotherman

What use is anyone of us or anything to a God of the Universe?

B
brothermanOG 2004 yay

We're very useful when we obey. Our job will be to care for this planet. And he is a god of love. So creating life is inherent with his being. Like I said, you take out businesses and cities are a shell. Business will not exist in the future. So, why build a huge infrastructure? No reason to. Sounds like you are just attached to certain things in this world. Remember the example of Lot's wife. None of us should want to look back on this world. Hey, I like to go to a ballgame and such every now and then in NY, but I know Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium and their future stadiums won't be there one day. I love baseball, but I won't look back because I love that. I love the thought of eternal life much more.

we only know certain aspects of this world. thats why it wouldnt seem that jehovah would take some things that we are accustomed too.

all in all....we dont know. we just have to wait and find out.

B
brothermanOG 2004

I think we know enough. I think it's fairly logical that giant cities won't exist, not the way they are built now. The way they are built now, destroys the environment. Remember, trees are our friends and give us oxygen. :o)

As far as mechanical designs we use now, it's a moot point. We will probably learn to use these things in a non-polluting manner or we may use horses and sailboats to travel. Whatever we do we do.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

there would be almost no pollution if there was no greed

there are cars that run on oxygen

there is solar power

etc. etc. etc.

the only reason there is so much pollution is because of imperfect greedy people

with those people out of the way we could have a "green" city - no problem

B
brothermanOG 2004

Ok, but cities are built by the greedy. Most buildings in Manhattan are businesses. Money won't exist anymore. Then you have apartment buildings. Would you rather live in a building with 50 floors or a nice house with a patio, grill, maybe a little gazebo, etc.. Like I said, it's fairly logical. The industrial revolution or greed, turned cities into what they are now. Far gone are cities with a humble market place and houses built next to each other. Well, if you go to Afghanistan, they might have one. Haha...

tesoro tesoroOG 2001 brotherman

why the heck do you think people spend millions to live in a pent house apartment? Cuz they don't want to be high up? Celebrities/Millionares could live anywhere in the world they would like and be flown in on a whim. It's just personal preference, in some cases, where you choose to live.

B
brothermanOG 2004 tesoro

Maybe because they work there. You take out all the businesses and you lose a huge chunk of any city.

money won't exist. Haha i love how you just state things as FACT. Oy. You have no idea what is in store, maybe there will be money or some kind of way to pay for things or barter, something - are you expecting to grow ALL of your own food and make ALL of your own clothing funiture transportation.. everything? Or will people just give you things for free?

yes we will have forever but will days be longer too? how do you expect to do all of this on a daily basis (food, shelter, clothing, everything) and still "enjoy life" ...

oy oy oy oy oy

i'm done.

socalgal socalgalOG 2003

AY AY CAPTAIN!!!

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

there is absolutely NOTHING in existance to support that statement. WOW. What did the buildings do wrong? LOL come on now

socalgal socalgalOG 2003

hes just bitter cause he might be "leveled" at Armageddon. lol

B
brothermanOG 2004

Tower of Babel. Jehovah wanted the earth to be filled, not everyone crammed in one spot. That's not to say we wouldn't have tall buildings in the new system, but the city structure as we know it now wouldn't exist.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

and we also won't eat meat or have pets or wear clothing, right? haha weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

B
brothermanOG 2004

Just thinking logically. I picture small town type settings in the new world, not a crazy infra-structure like NY. Life will be simpler.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

so it is just your picture of paradise

new york without crime or pollution would be my paradise

tesoro tesoroOG 2001

yea, exactly. I mean i prefer open countryside to live...but i love visiting cities.

I don't care if people have their own opinions...but its just when they state their opinions as FACT, that is what drives me nuts.

People that speculate what the new world will be like on things not mentioned in the bible are ignorant.

B
brothermanOG 2004 tesoro

Ok... Does the society ever print pictures of paradise showing skyscrapers and such? On the other hand how many pictures have you seen of an artists rendering showing a city being leveled at Armageddon. I rest my case...

oh it's an artist rendering, WELL FORGIVE ME oh wise one... i forgot that artist renderings must be true. Here is an artist rendering of me punching your face:

thats an atrists RENDITION! we dont know what jehovah has in store for us. they also show pictures of all the females wearing dresses...we're used to the normal clothing, pants, shorts etc. females dont like dresses day in and day out. so you think jehovahs going to make us wear dresses 24/7? LOL

g.f.s.rocks g.f.s.rocksOG 2001

You know Brotherman, I guess you dont realize how many available sisters are in the cities... for someone looking for a girl, you should really think twice about putting down an area which has your best chances of finding someone...

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003

g.f.s.rocks g.f.s.rocksOG 2001

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003
