ha! I'm not a flexitarian anymore. Despite persistent efforts, I have yet to be reindoctrinated in vegetarianism by the large portion of my congregation that are vegetarians. I AM throwing a Luau next weekend for the families in my congregation with young kids. Food ideas so far: pineapple stuffing, banana bread/muffins with macadamia nuts, coconut shrimp, apricot salad with almonds and raisins, sweet and sour chicken, brown rice, mango or papaya salsa, guava jelly. A guest is preparing poi for me. Any other ideas? Preferably vegetarian. My mind automatically goes to pork, but so few of the guests will eat it that it's not worth it.
:) i can bring young children and pretend that they are mine.
ha read this when you were hungry? it's a far ride for a backyard party.
true true. it just sounds like a good time. how far away are you again?
from you? probably 3.5 hours. exit 7 off the turnpike and it's another hour or so from there.
negative son. you were correct, too far away. but we do have to get together soon. and your party does sound like good times and mighty delicious.
no mangos or papyas-not from hawaii. and instead of brown rice, i'm going to learn how to make coconut rice.
